Today, he's working as a CTO with a Fintech firm in NY and ppl from institutions like IIT and MIT report to him. End of the day, it all boils down to your willingness to learn things on your own and networking with the right kind of people in the industry. If my friend could achieve so much back in 2006-07 when social media and LinkedIn was not even active for networking much, I believe any tier2 and tier3 student today can achieve things far greater.
