HARLEY DAVIDSON PROJECT RUSHMORE

In 2013, Harley Davidson announced a raft of new developments that had been implemented as a result of Project Rushmore. This was a process whereby they spoke to the important people - Harley Davidson owners - and asked them what they wanted from new Harleys. The findings were incorporated into the 2014 HD models and Mat went to the South African launch to see if anything had changed. I think he might have been impressed.

Limited in ground clearance judging by the scraps when you went into a corner lol

+Lee Hunt Those are the Floor Boards scraping the pavement and that sound serves as a warning that, yes you are nearing your cornering clearance. But have not actually exceeded it!
The scraping is absolutely harmless because the Floor Boards outer edges are designed to ride on the paved surface and they move upward and back down again if you encounter a bump in the pavement. The Floor Boards can be worn down eventually if you absolutely insist on always cornering while scraping the Floor Boards. Then you just replace them after a lifetime of riding.
Anyhow Lee Hunt, these are Touring Bikes , not street race bikes so what they loose in cornering clearance they more than make up for in all day long comfort, day after day, after day.

I am a little confused about this review. The guy says it's the best bike, but then proceeds to rip it down. Project Rushmore indicates Harley Davidson's desire to be customer focused in order to satisfy existing and potential buyers. Regardless of the brand, buying a bike is not cheap. That's why customer's should not spend tens of thousands of dollars only to be critical. I have noticed this behavior in several people. Get what you want so that you will be able to enjoy riding.
