Thanks for uploading good battles! I like the balance between losses and wins. Then your analysis on why you had said outcome is exceptionally interesting 😎
I managed a solid Day 2 finish at Indy (51st for those interested). Calyrex-Ice Rider is unbelievably strong and flexible. Personally I think it if played right is the best restricted in format right now. It has a solid base speed for tailroom stuff, hits like a bus, and can actually operate self sufficiently outside of other support when needed. I ran a tailroom variant of Ice Rider and interestingly, was also the only Landorus in Day 2.

I'm thinking of running an ice horse for the regG format hitting right after the end of regH and i was wondering why didn't you opt your ivs on the horse a lil bit more to defensive as long as you run indeedee with helping hand. Ice horse damage output can lose some points to distribute them to def/spdef
QOTD - Kyogre for sure, Hoenn is my favorite region and Kyogre feels the best to play so far out of the weather trio. It also gives me an excuse to use Raichu, another one of my favorite mons, to keep it safe from Raging Bolt and Miraidon

Is it just me who thinks that the format would have been more natural with Xerneas, Yveltal, Ultra Beasts and Tapus? Btw I watched Indianapolis regionals and really enjoyed seeing you and Wolfe commentate and DAMN Miraidon is a menace
I really don’t get why the Gen 6 restricteds are just missing, especially with Z-A coming soon. It’s a bit sad, Yveltal would act as at least a dark-type restricted to resist Calyrex Shadow, and the reduction of Zacian could’ve resulted in a Xerneas comeback.
What do you guys think the best Tera for Calyrex Ice? The only thing that seems to be walling it is Kyogre... Unless Kyogre truly falls off I think we might have to think about changing the tera from water to maybe grass idk if it's worth it though
@ElogVGC Someone likewise pointed out that Aaron's surprise about the lack of recovery berry on the Weezing may not have technically been the case, as it's possible that the Unnerve portion of Calyrex's ability may have been preventing them from using it even if they had it equipped there.
Weezing not having what you think is a Sitrus Berry might have been because of Neutralizing Gas not affecting Calyrex's ability (both Chilling Neigh and Unnerve) which is likely a bug like Protosynthesis/Quark Drive in past regulations.
