First of all, you are welcome in my country, Iraq. In fact, I noticed that you are the only one who answers all the comments, unlike many TH-camrs. This is an excellent point for the turnout of your channel, and in the end, I thank you for showing the true face of my contrary to what the international and Arab media used to lie.❤
They used to be militias until 2016. Then a law was passed and they were converted into an actual military force named popular mobilization forces. They heroically and courageously help defeat ISIS. They actually helped liberate my Christian town in Northern Iraq from ISIS. Moreover, I truly enjoyed watching your video and I look forward to seeing more.
I really want to travel to Iraq. However South Korea Government banned citizens travel to Iraq. So I'm very interested in this country. Thank you for your nice video everyday. Will you visit Karbala Shrine?
I hope you can come visit us soon! We have many South Koreans here working on infrastructure projects. For example, Bismayah new city project in Baghdad and Grand Faw port in Basra. We hope to get more wonderful visitors from South Korea. Much love!

Hi I have been in Bath - England doing my PhD 2014-2018. I live in Samarra now and I wish if I could have seen you as haven't seen or spoken to an English guy for 4 years. Well done but visiting Samarra and have a safe trip
Wow, this gave me severe vertigo without leaving my lounge settee 😂. Your guide Zi (?), is absolutely a legend. Such a gentle man and so dapper in his immaculate suit and tie. Brilliant !
Can I just say I've been watching a few of your videos today and usually travel vloggers make me cringe because they're very clickbait-ey, trying to make their situations seem more dangerous or unique or making wherever it is they're visiting seem like some far off weird land; very orientalist. It's so so so refreshing to watch your videos with how down to earth youse are, how much respect you have for the places you are and the people you're with, how you basically just show what you're up to and what a place is like without trying to sensationalise or whatever. Really really great to see very refreshing, thank you for that.
A very interesting place Samarra is . The Minaret looked pretty sketchy with a handrail against the left side of the structure. Were you nervous about the winds swirling around up there? Your Guide is a character. Love him. We will look him up when we decide to go. Great video Guys. Looking forward to more Iraq. Sending much Love and Affection from Richmond, Va. Harriet Jim and Yuki 🙏❤🙏
In fact, they are a militia, they are a local popular army that helps the security forces in some foreign areas, and they are part of the security system
There is no way on earth I could have walked up this. When we went up the burj khalifa it was at night and I was fine . When we went up the Dubai frame in the day I stayed in the middle and had an ice cream while the wife walked about I was terrified . Fair play to you and your guide is smartly dressed a bit cool and I’m sure a ladies man lol cheers guys all caught up on this hideous rainy night 👍
Spent many nights guarding the bottom of that tower, we had snipers up top 24/7. Really crazy to see it 20 years later. I'm glad the city is doing good.
I think they never actually will add a guard rail, its definitely because Malwya is an ancient site and they can't go adding stuff to its structure and risk damaging it.
It is very brave of you to go on this adventure in such a high place, I enjoyed watching you. For your information, the militiaman who wanted to take a picture with the beautiful lady just to show off to his friends. Excuse the typical thought of the Iraqi soldier.
My brother, they are not militias, they are the sons of Iraq and they are also part of the Iraqi army. This is because of the many wars in Iraq. Many movements and resistance were generated to confront any foreign interference. My greetings to you, my brother.
I am from Iraq, Baghdad. A message to every human being. You must visit this country that is 10 thousand years old, the land between the two rivers, the cradle of civilizations, which taught the world reading, writing, and laws. But you are misled by the false media?

Because of your country's occupation of our country, it was completely destroyed, but now it is trying to rise again and restore its glories and the development it was in the year 1990. 🇮🇶
Sammarra is 100% sunni city. The gun men, you met , are Muqtada Al sadr militia, and they have expelled the original lokcals out of Samarra. They literally occupy the city.
These soldiers are affiliated with the Iraqi Security Forces (Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi) affiliated to the Prime Ministry. Not militias, correct your information, and do not oppress the security men
