  • Mid-week machining #11. Keihin CR intake spigots are stuck, how do we remove them? We make a tool! These are threaded in and need the O-rings replaced. Plus, lathe belts and a lathe pulley modification.

Enjoyed the video, some more tedious moves that brings about the performance of the objective which is the outcome of the machine now working properly. Enjoyed the video Tom and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

Another great video. I just serviced my lathe as well.
    Great little tool!
Ghosting seems to be an issue for both of us. It infuriates me. I am strictly time and materials. I rarely give quotes. I'm ALWAYS fair. I work to be "polite" up front regarding payment upon completion of a project. Little "courtesy" projects take away from the major restorations. Small projects can be fun and a stress reliever from the majors. As always....be good....remain safe

I'd trash the V-belts and get a toothed belt which won't slip and will be much more efficient. But likely an expensive conversion.

They are supposed to slip - to save gear teeth from breaking.... 😁

What he said. Although I don't anytime soon, plan on crashing the carriage into the spinning chuck. But then again, I'm sometimes a dumb-arse so it's bound to happen. Cheers.
