@cherylpa527 - I'm not even American (I'm English), but I too had a little cry when I heard that Biden was not going to seek re-election. But then I felt relief because the only thing the Republicans had against Joe Biden was his age - they cannot fight against his record - now Kamala Harris will take this amazing record of achievements into her battle against those who wish to return America to the dark ages.
I felt as sad as I would feel if a close member of my family had died when President Biden left the race. I am still sad, but we must fight on and win the race for democracy. Vote blue all the way.

For almost a month now, Lawrence O'Donnell's show has been the only news program produced by corporate media that I've been able to stomach. This clip is a beautiful example of why. High school history teachers would be doing themselves and their students a great favor by including some of his broadcasts in the curriculum. He teaches important chapters from American history that most students will never be exposed to. Like Joe Biden, Lawrence O'Donnell is a national treasure.
I wholeheartedly agree! It’s the only program on MSNBC I can watch. All the others smile and giggle at Trump and bully and disrespect Joe Biden.

As a South African I was shocked, deeply saddened and nauseated by the way Congressmen, former Democratic Speaker,, former Democratic president, so-called "objective" media and friends treated the best president of USA in modern era, President Biden.
The media only focused on and had interviews with those who wanted President Biden to step down. They didn't have interviews with those who wanted him to be the nominee. They never mentioned those, eg, Hispanics who endorsed him last week.
So I cannot thank you enough Lawrence O'Donnell for supporting him. Thank you so much.
Those who wanted Biden to drop out was his own party like Schumer and many others ordered him to drop out.
It's was a soft coup. Shows the cannibals of corrupt democratic party. They are done with him you can really tell by how his party shut off his re-election money. The party that will eat their own like a cannibal, no loyalty.

And inflation is going down. Not once did Biden embarrass us on the world stage. Trump is a convict . I checked as an independent voter. The Republicans haven’t legislated ANYTHING for the American people and their families in over fifty years. They have lost seven out of the last eight popular vote elections . Same here. I am done with CNN and MSNBC, except for Lawrence. So disappointed in the way they turned on him after the debate. Obama had a bad debate and others and nobody turned on them for it.
