He really relays the families desperation and takes you along for the journey. Yanks did take our corn.

get along little yearlings we're a goin to Texas, don't stray far away or ye caint hear the bell, get along little yearlins we're a-goin to Texas, stay close to the wagons and follow thee well What a great tune by Jimmie Driftwood, even better cover by Leroy Troy (my favorite). The bell is a bell tied aroun the old lead cow's neck, Jayhawkers were deserters and outlaws that roamed the country side, oxen are castrated steers over 2 years old broke to the plow and wagon harness, and yearlings are calves under a year old that hadn' been branded or "marked" by notches and slits in the ears. Every family in the south at that time had their own set of marks to tell th cattle they claimed as they free ranged them for most of the year.

Looks like Andrew Marlins old guitar?

Yep, pretty sure, Andrew made it with a luthier friend. Always liked the tone of that guitar-dry and percussive.

Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? I can't understand some of the words in places.
