Thank you for making sense of our second hand gate. I couldn't figure out why it didn't latch and which piece we were missing. Much appreciated!

You didn't show how to actually apply the pressure mounting though?

Literally returned 2 of these in a row because i thoight it was defective, since the gap is so huge until you put pressure on it and get it to latch.

Did you find that the vertical gaps on the left and the right where the gate is attached were kind of huge? I read somewhere that this could be solved by cutting the edge of a pool noodle and putting it on those two areas of the bar so the gap disappears.

I think I have one that's a defect. The side that has the hinge has a permanent pin/shaft sticking out on the bottom and to get to 36" I only need to add the small frame extension on the opposite side. I also didn't receive any threaded extensions in my hardware package.

Hello, I have problem with the same baby gate that you have. The Baby gate that I bought was too attached already in the latch even the bolt it’s not yet attached to the walls. When I tried to put it to the wall, and tight the bolts, the gate cannot open. Hope you can help me. TIA

It's too stupid and hard. The Bottom wont allow the GATE to open. My mom is stuck on the other side, so I'm gonna have to break this bottom piece or something.💨

Boy if I didn't try bending this thing back to a straight position before I put it up and then I was like man I should check out the video because there was no sticker or cardboard on the one I was installing because I was doing it for somebody and it was already out of the box and I was like man this thing came all bent this thing is wide open you can't even shut it this is a problem so I stirred it up on its end and tried pushing on it to bend it back but you could tell it wasn't bending back because it was never been out it was made like this on purpose! So I came to google and ended up at TH-cam watching your video where you quickly explained that it is not a defect and thank god because I would've fucking bent that thing cut it try to re-weld it but I'm glad my instincts told me not to LOL if you can't bend some thing one way usually that means it wasn't Ben From the other direction to begin with. But I put it up in the hallway so the dogs can't get through and it works amazing it was a little hard to open it first but once you get the hang of it (no pun intended) you can open with one hand easy :)

There’s a ton of shit I could build and fix. No problem. But ikea and crap like this frustrated me and when the misses installed it she acted like she was a carpenter 😂. I let her have this one. Gonna challenge her to fix my lawnmower.

I don’t understand how it doesn’t move on the top pressure when the gate is opened... mine tightens up great but one the gate opens the 2 mounts on the top go loose... if i tighten them, with the gate open, obviously I can’t get the gate to close. (Too tight)
What am I doing wrong?? What keeps the gate tight on the top??
