A lot to think about. As a women I appreciate this video a lot. Not many videos for women. You were right to add cook system to wife. I would do all of the cooking
A good video! And also agree with you on too much emphasis on "bugging out" vs being prepared on just bugging in at your homestead. We have bags for bugging out as well. And have actually had to bug out before living in coastal SW FL. and obviously in a major Hurricane region. But just as important as a bug-out bag is a get-home bag in every vehicle you have! The main point that should be taken away from your video is to just be prepared in any situation. We know FAR too many people that simply are not sad to say.
Some people get it some people don’t. But all people will get it at some point and I’m afraid it’ll be too late. I’m glad you liked the video and I appreciate you watching 👍🏼
I love Bag Balm, it's good for scrapes, and irritation. It's all I used for diaper rash, and skinned knees as well as my cows and goats scratched bags. For a bug out bag it will have to be repackaged. Also as a plus it's American made.
You got a point there I’ve stressed that on my 30 mile get home bag test. Same concept, you can have all the gear in the world if you can’t physically carry it as far as you need to it doesn’t matter what you have. Thanks for checking out the video 👍🏼
Personally I htink what will be going on is you will be hunting and fishing in the start and you would want to do it as quiet as possible. But also will be going out for surpplies after all the houses in your area have been gone thru you will be travelling for 2 days to another town and now search that town to bring back supplies which now the pack would need room to put those supplies in like canned food and at the same time to carry your sleep system and protection. But if going for supplies or bugging out will be very dangerous for sure.
Seems like the most plausible reality. Once reality hits that the stores won’t be able to provide people will either ban together to make it work or it will turn into chaos very quick. Yes houses will be looted, factories, semis on the roads, and it will be very dangerous no matter what. Appreciate you checking out the video 👍🏼
Your wife also probably needs something for her period. Similar to the baby, maybe a few pairs of reusable period panties. I also carry a portable bidet topper that attaches to any old water bottle so I can clean myself without relying on toilet paper
You are very right. Nobody knows what will happen..... When it's a small local thing.... Then à 72 hours bag is fine. But when something happens that is nation wide...... They wish they had carried way more. Because at that point..... It's all you have left in the world. Carry heavy and survive.
Agree with you 100%. A lot of people hoot and holler for the lightest bag possible that leaves out critical gear, if you can add it and carry it then do so. Appreciate you watching 👍🏼
I think l they’re one of the better bags out there on the market. I personally have 2 of them 1 for a buggout bag and a second one for a get home bag I keep in my vehicle. They have a lot of store and pockets to keep you pretty organized. They seem to be made with high quality that’ll last longer than one off the Walmart shelves. However they are noticeably heavy and obviously tactical looking. It would be hard to disguise the fact you have gear dude to the look of the bag. Even knowing I have 2 of them I would buy a third if I found a need for it.
Dont ever listen to what people say about the gear you are carrying. Im a 50 year old gritty bushman in north west Ontario. If i showed what i carry id have a whole whack of WTF comments. We pack what works for us. And i can pretty much guarantee you id outdo most of these glorified, shiny, new and unused gear youtube preppers. Awesome job on the bag.
No feminine hygiene stuff? No female pee cup? No menstrual cup for when the tampons run out? You better have a couple of those baby wipe packs because no toilet paper (and that's for every persons pack). Not enough food? Who's going to carry your toddler if you have to be on foot? Better get a couple heavy duty wagons. I think you need to rethink your plan.
This was really helpful! You’re covering the exact topics I’m looking for. Thanks for the insight!
Another highly informative video brotha!! Keep em coming!! LFG!! It’s always a good day when MidWest Survival drops a video!
Appreciate ya as always! 👍🏼 you’re the OG subscriber

My wife's bag has extra clothes, meds and food for the both of us. I'm carrying shelter and protection. We've doubled up on the fundamentals.
Don't forget fels-naptha laundry bar soap for those diapers. It gives you industrial strength soap. Bar soaps will last you much longer.
Always love a good bag video keep the uploads coming

I’ll have to look into that! I use the working man hands brand kinda the same thing?
Appreciate you watching the video 👍🏼
Well done!
Dosen't matter bag you still have to carry it and run with it. Realistically better have stamina.

With those cloth diapers, you need a water proof outer diaper. Those are just inners and will not hold the wetness in

If you can look into a Titanium pot system it will shave alot of weight off her back
Banana r for potassium for leg cramping. That's why backpacks prefer having them
Would you use a suitcase as a bug out bag? Stuff can get heavy

Look at what ultra light hikers carry, they actual use the packs and know what to carry.
Ultra light packs on a designated trail with designated stop, is night and day difference than a buggout scenario.
What is your thoughts about the 5.11 bags

Okay but what about menstruation?
