What a fun, quick overview of some great California vineyards. Some old favorites; e.g., Stag’s Leap, Raymond and Opus One. Some I hadn’t heard of (that “Wine Safari” sounds awesome) and two of my favorites which certainly deserve a mention: Merryvale in Saint Helena and Schramsberg in Calistoga. Cheers!

This is not a good list, I went to Berringer who they ranked at #9 and I will not return. Not a good tour or tasting at all. Try other wineries first.

Julian M honestly it would be tough for me to pick a top 5 without checking out a few more but I feel very good about Rankling Caymus as #1.
A top 5 of those I have visited so far would be: 1- Caymus, 2- William Hill, 3- Trenchero, 4- Sterling, 5- Staggs Leap

No Rombauer, no Orin Swift, no Prisoner, no Grgich no Groth, no Trefethen, no meomi I am disappointed
@@coryholbrook3371 well Prisoner is a wine company they make stuff under the prisoner brand like Cuttings cab is a prisoner brand Orin swift makes wine they have wineries, Rombauer make a Cab, a Chard, a Zin, and a Sauv Blanc. As well as Trefethen makes actual wines more than just one at the same location so it's a winery and Silver Oak has a winery so does Grgich so does Groth so does Orin Swift. Also am I not allowed to have an opinion of sofuckyou dude

These wineries result in innocent people being killed by drunk drivers. They waste our limited fresh water. They pollute the areas around them and deplete the groundwater. There are way too many in California. We don't have enough water to support this many winery/vineyards. We need to increase taxes/fees for these wineries.
