- In this video I hop into VRChat and talk with people using their native languages! The reactions were pretty funny so hope you enjoy!
For those curious, here is how I would rank my proficiency for each language:
English 10/10
Japanese 9/10
Mandarin 8/10
Korean 5/10

having perfect pronunciation and no accent in 4 languages is more impressive than knowing 14 languages
10 month? wtf indeed, man legit downloading language into brain 😂
It took me 1 year and I feel dumbfounded when I learnt someone else took 10 months to learn Chinese.
Haha no don't worry! 1 year is still really good! It's just cause I was taking a gap year at the time so I had a ton of free time to grind the language xD keep up the good work my friend! 💪
@@tiger_in_translationcan you share some tips? >
Sure 👍 it might sound super basic but I'd recommend just trying to use the language depending on your goal! For me, I focus on speaking so I just called a ton of people! There are apps like hello talk and tandem that u can use to meet language partners to call👍 or u can hop onto vrchat to practice as well! If you want to improve your reading or writing, you can try to text people in the language or read online articles :)
@Tiger856 what's the best way to learn?
as someone who doesn't speaks Korean, Japanese or Chinese, your pronunciation sounds very good
Jesus luvs u. We are trapped in our sins but thru Jesus we have freedom from sin and death
@@lamblyywho tf are you
If youre someone who doesnt speaks Korean, Japanese or Chinese, how could you tell?
as someone who learned Korean from natives his pronounciation is quite good
@@lamblyy bro replied to the wrong comment 💀
As a half-Japanese person who's Japanese isn't perfect but I know enough to know what good Japanese is, and yours is really good. Nothing you're saying is really advanced (obv given the context of the convos) but your pronunciation, pitch accent, and general word choice are very good for a completely foreign learner (as in no prior knowledge before learning).
Thank you so much😁 yea this video mostly had a lot of Chinese 😂 maybe if I make another one I'll try to include some more complicated Japanese stuff haha thanks so much! ^^
3:03 LMAO the rabbit is too stunned to speak 😭😭😭
I also speak all of these languages! made me want to click on this video. I would say in order of fluency your japanese is best, then chinese and then korean. Very cool to see someone with the motivation to learn three languages at once. I was born with 2, learned the third.
More of these type of content please, very enjoyable good sir
Haha thanks will keep that in mind! 😂
I just saw your video today, you're actually amazing bro. especially for learning it in such a small time (compared to other people learning japanese, chinese, etc)
Aw thanks! I think your first language is definitely the hardest so I think it's partially thanks to the fact I had experience learning Japanese and made most of my mistakes with that language first xD so with Chinese I had a much better idea of how to efficiently learn and what worked and what didn't ^^
This was quite enjoyable to watch, I hope you'll consider filming more :)
Please post more of these type of videos, they are amazing 😊
Wow, I love how you tackle so many different challenges like learning new languages, making animations and even making a video game?? (like wtf you're unlocking everything in the skill tree 😂)
Haha thanks so much! Yea I love learning new things so! I often say my hobby is learning new hobbies 😂 it means a lot to me that you checked out my other stuff! Thanks so much :)
I’d love to see more content like this from you!
Please help me reach 10k subs! 🙇

Haha thanks so much I'm glad to hear I could inspire you! 😆
It was entertaining. I hope you upload more of this type of content.
I really like your videos, I really appreciate your videos, they are really cool and very interesting and fun.
As someone who's part Japanese, I would literally do anything if for tutorial or something from you on your process of learning these languages.
Chinese is the hardest language here and if that only took you 10 months, Japanese and Korean must've taken you a mere month or two!
My Japanese isn't that good since I was born and raised in a primarily english-speaking country and I regret not learning it from my family.
Haha yea I might make a tutorial sometime in the future! Though my Japanese is better than my Chinese! So it took more time than just a few months 😂 My biggest tip is to find a way to make language learning fun! It's totally okay if it takes a few years to get a hang of it! But so long as ur having fun, it won't feel like work and you'll keep up with it! Consistency is the most important part of language learning imo!
Pls do more of this i love it
You're so talented! Earned a sub.
Please keep sharing more videos on your channel.
That was some good sht, expecting to see more content soon !
I really like how calm their servers are, it's like chill and chat not a CHAOS!
I'm so into CHINA, JAPAN AND SOUTH KOREA.... love them
considering your last video was a year ago, have have you learned all three of these languages in that amount? If so, a video covering how and going through the process would be amazing. Simply having the determination and consistency is hard and this video alone shows how determined and hard working you are. Please post more content like this. We love it!
I like your videos keep up the good work
Had to throw in a sub, good shit man.
The four levels of language learning:
Level 1: Monolingual
Level 2: Bilingual
Level 3: This guy
Level 69: Xiaoma
great video, that was a hilarious watch
Bro i'm so happy u still alive
Lol great video dude
We need more. Seriously.
The ending tho 😭😂😂😂 but like your so good! i only know english and chinese :,)… and a lil of japanese and korean 💀 but learning all of those are so impressive!!
That was hilarious 😂😂 Quality content right here 👌🏻👌🏻 잘했어~

On another note, pleasantly surprised to hear wii party and cooking mama music, had a good flash of nostalgia 😌😂
Haha tysm! 아니야~ありがとう😊哈哈谢谢你哦~
Oh haha I'm glad you liked the music! 😆 I've not actually played cooking mama before but when I was searching for songs I thought it sounded really nice 😂
I'll never get tired of the endless dance between two (or more) people interacting with each other. It's always small little jitters to get a clear view, but forces the other to move also to look at them too. 😂😂
I want to see more of his video and just realized. This man uploads yearly...
This is really entertaining! I need moar!
I dont know why but I love such videos
Bruh just that intro alone is enough to make me subscribe
We need more videos like this its great
Thanks I'm glad you liked it! I'm working on a new video which should be out in a few weeks! Hope you'll like it! 😁
man really made this video and dipped, you should make more
Thanks! I just did^^
I feel kinda embarrassed that you speak my native language sm better than me. 😭😭I really love the video tho, keep it up!!❤
Im really jealous, I've studied Spanish for like 8 years and u haven't been able to learn any of it only small parts, i have learning disability so I can't learn stuff like a normal person, i am truly amazed at how people learn so many things! It's truly wonderful!
Please let's make more videos bro I really like it!
bro what as someone who is actually chinese american, your mandarin in low-key better than mine 😭😭😭😭😭 keep it up dude !!
I was about to subscribe you, but I already had. Turns out i sub'd you 3 years ago when you make Minecraft Speedrun tutorial videos

I'm so curious on how do you start learning languages cause when you have at least some basic speaking skill or a little vocabulary you can try to upgrade it just by talking and learning with pals but when you start it's like a big wall that I don't know how to really surpass (I've been trying to learn Japanese for like 5 years now and I just know basic sentences :'D) also it's very amazing how do you master those accents, loved your vid so much greetings from Spain hope you are doing well
Yea good question! I agree I think the hardest part is in the beginning because you have no baseline for any thing 😅 then eventually there is a point later on where you have most of the essential grammar down and by then you can just cruise by talking with friends in the language 😂 for concrete advice I'd recommend learning the fundamental grammar through text books (I used Genki 1 and 2) or just look up like the jlpt grammar lists (up to jlpt 3 should be sufficient) learning short form + te forms + nominilization + のように kind of grammar was really helpful for me! Made it so I could say most of what I wanted generally 👍 and yea thanks for the comment about my accent! It's something that I think can be practiced and improved on by spending a lot of time speaking with natives! If you have more questions or want to chat more feel free to join the discord! Thanks so much for your comment! ❤️
Tysm for responding so fast and for the tips!! ❤❤❤ @@tiger_in_translation
Both incredibly funny and impressive, linguists *love* him xD

Top tier content (7 months late lol) 👌
tiger is a really cool guy fr
As a chinese person, I wouldn't perfectly say your chinese pronounciation was on point, it has some space that needs improving but all in all, great video! Keep it up!
I’m quite late but wanted to ask abt learning languages!!
1. How do you stay consistent/motivated to learn?
2. What’s the fastest way to learn but also remember what you learn?
I understand if you can’t reply to this since I’m 10 months late..
1 I found a way to have fun with language learning! If it's enjoyable it's easier to keep with it! For me, I made friends who spoke the language so it wouldn't feel like studying and just felt like hanging out with friends!
2 also talking to people! If u don't use it, you'll forget it. So find a way to use it often! (reading books/texting friends/calling friends etc)
Lol no worries! My uploads are always very late/delayed so no problem haha
dieses Video ist unglaublich! Ich wünschte, ich könnte mehr als Amerikanisch, Deutsch und ein bisschen Russisch sprechen
got one more sub congrats
And don't give up and don't get discouraged, keep moving forward.
Thanks I appreciate it! I'm actually really happy with how my newest video has been doing! It's just that I'm currently a full time uni student so I don't have much time to make videos 😭 but I'll try to work on another one in the coming months! Thanks so much for your support! 🙌
@@tiger_in_translation You're welcome, I will always motivate you, I will watch all the new videos you post here on your channel
Could you please tell me how you managed to achieve that level of Chinese? I'm looking into trying to learn Chinese and it would be really helpful if you could tell me how you took your approach.
Love the video, keep up the good work!
I started with learning basic grammar by studying the HSK books 1 and 2 and then started practicing by talking with people on vrchat or language exchange app like hello talk/tandem👍 just a lot of practice and repition 😂 thanks and good luck with your studies! 中文学习加油啊!
@@tiger_in_translation Thank you so much for telling me! Have a wonderful day!
@@tiger_in_translation 在Tandem和HelloTalk上,什么方法回给人打电话吗? 很多的人给我说英文哈哈。

You're great.
very funny and kind
how did you approach language learning?
Nice video
Hmmm good pronunciation!
좋은 발음이네요!
감사합니다~😆❤️
Im an American studying Japanese and I’m curious, what’s your language learning method? I don’t typically have any problems learning Haitian Creole, French, and Italian because I already speak Spanish. I get that Eastern languages are different though so it’s been a little tougher lol
I mostly just practice by speaking with people! There are lots of ways to find language calling partners thanks to the internet now! One of them is VRChat which is what I was playing in this video 😁
@@tiger_in_translation ありがと!

Hey man we're on pretty similar journeys, except Korean is my heritage language rather than Chinese. Obviously your Japanese and Chinese are awesome and I was blown away. However, try being more precise with Korean pronunciation and I think it'd greatly improve your accent (if that's what you're going for):
- practice your vowels! sometimes you swapped them around (in the intro, I heard a slight 야러분 instead of 여러분 and 양상 instead of 영상, and 4:08 maybe 뱔로 instead of a clean 별로)
Definitely post more language content though. I absolutely love the asian language trifecta
Ah that's awesome! Ah yea I always have a hard time with 어 and 아 and often mix them up even when texting 😂 definitely something I'll need to work one! Thanks for the tips and good luck with your language journey as well! 😆👍
I wanna know how you started learning all these 😭
Where's a new video, my guy? Please, I'm begging.
Videos like this give me motivation to keep learning
Currently full time university life has got me swamped 😅 I'm hoping to potentially take a break from school tho to work on another video at some point! Don't give up! You got this! 💪
hi! i dont know if you'll see this as this video was posted a while ago but i was wondering what were/are your resources for learning korean? i am interested in learning but besides watching videos on hangeul idk where to start
Hi! I'd recommend learning the fundamental grammars for the language! I went through this list of grammar until I felt that I was no longer limited by my grammar so much as my vocabulary knowledge! www.google.com/amp/s/www.howtostudykorean.com/other-stuff/lesson-list/%3famp
Hope this helps and good luck with your studies! ^^
Hello, I'm new here on your channel
This makes me want to study Mandarin Chinese more😁well work on my pronunciation
the chinese guy made a whole backstory for him
broo please upload more
Thanks I really want to! I'm a full time uni student rn so it's just hard to find time rn but I'm gonna try to upload another in the next few months! 😂
hello brother, i understand it is loaded, but i had a question. what do you think the best language is to learn first trying to get into the polyglot world? you are inspiring!
Ah I'd recommend studying whatever language interests you most! If you're interested in the language it'll be much easier to study in the long term 👍 assuming all things are equal, then I'd consider learning families of languages? So like spanish French Italian or Japanese Chinese Korean? If u study languages that are similar it'll be easier to learn than a bunch of unrelated ones. Also if ur goal is just to learn a bunch of languages fast, I'd learn ones similar to your native language since those should be quicker to learn 👍But I think it's best to prioritize your interests if you have them! Thanks for watching and for your kind comment! Glad I could inspire you!
めちゃくちゃ日本語上手いな。こんなに離れてる言語を、流暢に喋れるなんてすげえや…
I'm starting to learn Japanese, do you have any recommendations for the way you learned it? I have already bought the genki textbook and a few others, but any recommendations for ways that you learned?
Great question! Yea I started with genki 1 and genki 2! In terms of genki unless you plan to work at like a hotel or something you can skip the later half of genki 2(formal forms are rarely ever used) the most important part of genki 2 is definitely て forms 👍 in terms of general studying, I would highly recommend that you start speaking as soon as possible. From genki 1 you can learn the basic grammar needed for conversations e.g my ____ is _____, this is a ____, my favorite ____ is ____ etc. After learning those I'd recommend figuring out your self introduction in Japanese and then go try to speak to natives (via vrchat or another app I recommend called hello talk) and when u speak to natives take note of things u didn't know how to say but wanted to say, and after talking with people, look up how to say the things u didn't know how to say. Repeat this until fluent basically 😂 if you have more questions feel free to join my discord (in my channel info section) 👍 good luck with your studies! にほんごのべんきょうがんばってね!
@@tiger_in_translation Thank you so much for all of the info!
I suggest also trying out Memrise on pc, so that you have access to many, many courses for languages (there's even a course on central Alaskan Yup'ik)
Where do you learn?
hii i wanna learn japanese too. did you study both writing and speaking or are you focused on speaking?
I focused on speaking a listening! But I learned hiragana and katakana and about up to N3 Kanji
好厲害 .-.
Bro has the skills to learn languages easily errrrrr
I kinda wish I am also but it takes me years idk why
日本語めっちゃうまい
天才だ!!🎉
how did you learn the basics of a language for starters? any advice is welcomed, I just really want to learn. Like did you learn from apps?
I started with pimsleur audio tapes, then text books (Genki 1 and 2 for Japanese, Hsk 1 and 2 for Chinese) I also challange myself not to spend money on learning Korean so I used free grammar websites! Then after learning the grammar I tried speaking with natives! I used hello talk and vrchat for chatting with natives and anki for flashcards cards! (I would NOT recommend duo lingo if you want to be fluent. Even pimsleur is just to get ur foot in the door, you can skip it if your want since it just teaches phrases and not the underlying grammar) but yea Goodluck on ur language learning endeavor! I believe you an do it! 💪
