Thank you for sharing this and letting me walk down memory lane. :) My grandma used to take me to the Sanrio store when we visited cities that had them. The cute little trinket they would tape to the bag was such a special part of shopping there and I would watch very intently as they'd tape it on the giftwrap bag. It's such a nostalgic memory. I wish I still had my Sanrio treasures.
This retro video takes me back to my childhood. I was a big fan of hello kitty and lisa Frank.

Wow! I recognized so many things. I had a lot of the same stickers when I was a kid. Even the non Sanrio ones. And the locks and the pencil case. I remember all of it including going to the mall for Sanrio treasures. So fun. Thanks for sharing.

I have a huge obsession with vintage Sanrio. When I was 10 in 1995, my friends and I became obsessed bc our big sisters had Sanrio items..so we found a few toy stores in our town and went crazy. We collected for about 3 years. I still have most of my collection. Maybe we can video chat sometime and I'll show you!✌️❤️🐱

Oh Marie, we had so many of the same items I feel like we grew up together. Even the erasers in mini plastic bags and a lot of confetti for special occasions. 😂

I loved this sooo much!! Brought back so many childhood memories. I love Sanrio since I was in elementary school. I still have lots of my collection. I thought I was the only person who saved confetti in life saver holes container. 🤣❤

That's so nostalgic! I brings back memories from when I was a kid. Hello Kitty and Sanrio charcters are my favorite (aside from Disney of course). It's good to know that you still kept your collection and you can show your kids. They are all so cute and timeless that kids love them to this day.

I absolutely love vintage Sanrio collection! I’m actually a young girl from 9-12 collecting vintage Sanrio items, I collect vintage Sanrio erasers and they are really rare and hard to find nowadays, I’ve now started to also collect Sanrio cases and plushies. :)

I love seeing this . I had Jimmy & Patty items as well when I was little . You don't see them much now . I loved the squishy padded stickers that you could get and I had a tiny Hello Kitty pencil set with notepad- it was miniature .
There used to be a Patty and Jimmy cafe in Harajuku, right across from the pompompjrin cafe!

Wow! I had some of this stuff, too! I still adore Sanrio. And I’m so glad you mentioned the bear … Toodleroo was it? I had a little notebook with him in it and I could never remember if he was Sanrio.
I took piano lessons and after every good lesson my mom would buy me a little Sanrio item from the Hallmark next door. (It was bribery LOL)

This was soooo fun to watch! How old are you? I'm 45 and totally recognize some of your sanrio goodies. I still have the kerroppi pencil box. Zashhibuta and Kerroppi were my favorite.

I love love love vintage HK, I collect them myself. But my collection of the really old ones (1976) I only bought recently as I could not afford to buy them when I was young. I would just go to Sanrio gift gate to look at them and only dream one day I can buy them. ❤️💙🤍
