If you ever get near Cincinnati, Ohio we have a Zoo & you need to go see Miss Fiona and her little brother Fritz & their mom & dad our Hippos. Also in northern Kentucky just across the Ohio River has the Newport Aquarium.
"Kevin" 🤣🤣🤣 If you get the chance, the Magnificent Macaws show at Indianapolis Zoo and the Indiana State Museum both at White River State Park. Then while you're in town there are six mini/putt-putt golf courses boasting two 18 holes each with one of them being at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. But since you've been up north Check out Chicago boasting Brookfield Zoo & Lincoln Park Zoo, Six Flags Over Great America, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Museum of Science & Industry, Navy Pier (right 0n Lake Michigan) and at least 19+ mini/putt-putt courses.
Watching you walk under that bridge at the beginning of the video brought back so many memories of trips to this zoo as a kid back in the 80's. Thanks for the nostalgia blast.
Love watching your travel videos. If I might make a suggestion - it's been a while since you've been out to Southern California and I know how much Elisha loves Halloween, so I'd like to suggest that you make a trip out here in the last half of September or the month of October. We have the oldest (and first) amusement park Halloween themed event in Buena Park (just a few miles from Disneyland). Usually the park is Knott's Berry Farm, but during the Halloween season, it is called Knott's Scary Farm or Knott's Halloween Haunt. They have been doing it now for 50 years (this year will be 51). It has a bunch of mazes, themed areas with roving monsters, live shows, and themed foods. I've been going to it at least once a year for the last 30 years. It is so much fun. Unlike Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, the mazes are not based on horror movies or shows. So, you won't be lost if you haven't seen a particular movie. The story of each of Knott's mazes is pretty easy to figure out. And since you have a very successful TH-cam channel, you might be able to get media passes for free or discounted entry (but that would probably be opening night). The dates haven't been announced yet, but last year the first night was September 21st. I'd recommend you get in touch with Knott's guest relations soon if that is something you'd like to do. There are a bunch of videos on TH-cam from the last few years you can check out to see if it might be something you'd like to try out, or if it is too intense. Too me, it's not as terrifying as some of the ones you'd see on the Travel Channel. But even sitting back and watching people getting scared by the monsters can be fun. And it's not very far from Golf 'n' Stuff in Norwalk, which has 3 mini golf courses and was where they filmed a couple of scenes from the original "Karate Kid" movie.
Brooks, this is a great idea ! You guys should do a lot more videos of Zoo's , Amusement Parks and interesting off road attractions. It breaks up the everyday monopoly.
I love when you can get close to the animals. One of the zoos in our area has lots of enclosures where you can get really close to the animals, plus lots of interactive experiences. One of my best birthday gifts ever was a private VIP tour of the tiger area that my husband got for me.
Glad you were able to visit. The Milwaukee County Zoo has been ranked as one of the better ones in the country. Hope you got to try Kopps - my personal favorite (although Leon's and Oscars are pretty good as well). Next time you're in town, you should take an excursion to the Domes for a unique experience - massive Horticultural environments filled with plants and flowers from around the world.
I was born and raised in Milwaukee during the 70's. I remember our trips to the zoo, and they were always a great experience. Back in the mid 70's things were so much different. They'd have animals out on display. One "bad" time they were showing people a predatory cat. It was younger, not full grown, but still for a kid it was intimidating. I don't know or remember exactly how this all happened but a dog got loose and ran up near the cat's showing and all I remember next is the cat lunging forward, almost like a jump, hitting me knocking me backwards onto my butt. I had a scratch or two on me, but I was fine. The lady kept control of the cat, how?I can't imagine. Everyone always asks, did your parents sue? No they didn't. I wasn't physically hurt. Scared the heck out of me though. I still loved the zoo and we went back many times. The Chimpanzees and Orangutans were always my favorites.
If you find yourself in the Columbus Ohio area and have some free time I recommend the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. When I lived in the Columbus area I had a season pass and it was always a great place to visit.
The Milwaukee zoo is one of the better zoos in the Midwest and Eastern US. It's no where near the San Diego Zoo, but it's a extremely beautiful zoo. I'm glad you got to see it. I haven't been there in decades now. I moved from Milwaukee in 2000. Before that I took care of my family when they were ill. They passed in 96 and 98. Take care and I hope you can return to the Zoo again. Milwaukee had some really fun Mini-Golfing spots. My Dad and I used to love to play Mini-Golf ⛳. Take care and God Bless.
You mentioned that you were going to Kopp's. What did you have and did you like it? We love it. It's only a couple of miles from home. (and that's dangerous on a diet)
Favorite animal of all time is one that doesn't kill me LOL. Besides that it might have to be the Snow Tiger. Have you ever looked up what animal you are on the Chinese Calendar? I'm a Sheep / Ram. Just look up your birth year to find out.
Excellent look at a fairly traditional rural zoo. You perfectly presented the reason I prefer the 'safari-style' parks, including WDW's Animal Kingdom. Closest to us is San Diego's Wild Animal Park... I'm betting both of you would love that as well. Thanks!
Good thing you guys went to the Milwaukee County Zoo. It's my favorite zoo, in my opinion. There's a lot there. I haven't been there in years, but it's still an amazing place. I'm not too keen on the primates, I do enjoy the birds, reptile house, and the African animal exhibits. Glad you had a great time there.
memories from here havn't been there in litterly forever probably last time was when i was 6 or 7 maybe a whole 10 years nice to see different content though after finding this channel love them both
I cannot get enough of the Zoological Park! Y'all missed out seeing red pandas and (from long ago) *wolves*! I also enjoy The Reptile House, which has some fish IIRC (but don't quote me here...) There are very few nonhuman animals that I *don't* like!
When you two finally settle down, I could see you on a small farm for Elisha’s animals. anybody with that much love for animals has got to have a good soul. You’re a lucky man BUT give that lady her little farm. You will never regret it !
17:14 I am the exact same way as Elisha I probably will never go into a reptile exhibit likely ever again unless it does not have snakes. Everything else is fine but the snakes. I had a minor trauma when I was 18 with a snake encounter and won’t set foot near any sort of snakes. It’s hard to even see a snake on tv now
Next time you are in the Indiana and Ohio area, you need to check out the Cincinnati Zoo and Indianapolis Zoo. Both are very nice, especially the Cincy zoo (my favorite I have been to)
If you ever passing through central Illinois, you should definitely stop at Aikmans Wildlife. You would both enjoy it. Let me know when you are in the area and I will take you. It’s amazing.
Btw, Geese can be mean! Heck, apperently when my dad was a kid, they had a pet goose.... lets just say... good at guarding. Like Guard dogs... eh, but the term of goose guarding... oh yeah. Hippos look gentle... definetly not. That cheetah... I think it was close to feeding time or play time, pacing back and forth like that can mean one of those... or maybe just showing off and being interested in these Humans that are protected by this see through wall. Anyways, happy you had a good time.
Zoos just make me sad. Imagine spending your entire life stuck in a pen with weird people gawking at you all day every day for the rest of your useful existence.
One thing I found out by accident is that an armadillo's eye sight is pretty poor. A few of the many times that I encountered them in the wild all I had to do is stand still and they walked right up to me like they didn't even know I was there. One time they literally walked right over my feet and yes they literally stepped on my feet. Once I moved my feet a little and they saw the movement, that's when they took off like a bat out of hell.
What is sad cows are in very small pens. So far the areas are too small for the animals. To me this is so sad to watch all the poor animals in a zoo that is too small for them all Sorry but this is why I hate zoos.

If time allows us, it’s def possible :)
Tigers have always been my favorite. They're just too cool.
I love when you can get close to the animals. One of the zoos in our area has lots of enclosures where you can get really close to the animals, plus lots of interactive experiences. One of my best birthday gifts ever was a private VIP tour of the tiger area that my husband got for me.
I grew up going to the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park. Lions are always my favorites
This brings me back to my trip to the Oakland Zoo with my mom in October 2000. Just like your visit to the zoo, It was a perfectly clear day then.
I'm so sad I saw this now, would have shown you all a great time here.
Glad you were able to visit. The Milwaukee County Zoo has been ranked as one of the better ones in the country. I loved the cheetah 🐆 and the hawk
I haven't been to the Milwaukee Zoo since I was a kid. Really great video.
Love this. And you guys were close to my home town

You should have been around when Sampson was alive. You would have been in awe of him and the primate house.
You probably paid the non-resident fee to get in. I think there are two different rates based on residence.
Animals have claws, birds have talons.😮😮😮
I try to bring my kids to that zoo at least once a year
You may want to check recalls before getting a Tesla.
memories from here havn't been there in litterly forever probably last time was when i was 6 or 7 maybe a whole 10 years nice to see different content though after finding this channel love them both

I enjoy the zoo content. Do y'all go to theme parks as well?
We dont have a ton of time to do theme parks, but hopefully in the future we can
I don't know if you realized you missed the bird building. Next time!

Ty for the zoom ins
Next time you are in the Indiana and Ohio area, you need to check out the Cincinnati Zoo and Indianapolis Zoo. Both are very nice, especially the Cincy zoo (my favorite I have been to)
You probably drove within 20 minutes of me. That is why i stare at every white tesla I see now lol.
Great video. I would have to say the baby bunny was my favorite because it was so cute
If you ever passing through central Illinois, you should definitely stop at Aikmans Wildlife. You would both enjoy it. Let me know when you are in the area and I will take you. It’s amazing.
The bear in the hammock was my favorite!

The Wolves love them
The Big Cats
If you guys come back to NJ, check out the Philadelphia zoo. Love zoos and animals.

I LOVE the ZOO

Brooks scorches himself at 15:44... 🤭
I'm pretty sure those "deer like" animals were Thomson's gazelles.
It’s not rabbits there hares
Those are cottontail rabbits
Good for you Elisha, only one kind of good snake
my mom always said "it's not a vacation, unless you have ice cream or frozen custard". too bad Elisha didn't get to see the otters :(
Wolfs foxes lemurs etc
I haven't been to our zoo in like30 yrs or so
You skipped out on two of my favorite animals. 🦎🐢, but I also love 🐧
My favorite zoo animal is tiger, polar bear, and jaguar!!!
Yay, Elisha!
Maybe a parrallel series: The Zoo Keepers, where you explore zoo's. Yeah I know, more editing. Mea Culpa.

The big cow's were Holstein
Technically the claws are called Talons

Zoos are so sad,I hate zoos, how would you like to be in zoo, like prison!
What is sad cows are in very small pens. So far the areas are too small for the animals. To me this is so sad to watch all the poor animals in a zoo that is too small for them all Sorry but this is why I hate zoos.
Wild animals best life is to be free the way they were born
