I love how he asks us how we are doing and he responds with good glad to hear it makes the video so much better makes me feel like I'm with him in the plane!!! Keep up the good work and stay safe!!!
I'm watching this in the parking lot of the local airport right before my first discovery flight. Good way to get excited about it.
+Taylor Shank so cool! Enjoy and have fun! Your life is about to change for the better!
steveo1kinevo
Agree on that. It is a wonderful career :)
People: I'm about to get my PPL!
I'm about to go on my first discovery flight!
I'm about to get instrument rated!
Me: I just did a loop in a Cessna in FSX. FML
Congrats tho m8 :)
Thomas Harbauer hahaha you'll get there someday, maybe I will too...
I just had my first flight and it was amazing. Hope to log more hours and get a ppl at 17
Relatively new subscriber here Steveo. I'm not a pilot or student, but like flying and love your channel. I've learned so much in a very short time. Thank you for taking the time to find the middle ground that holds the interest of the layman as well as experienced pilots. The intros and outros are the icing on the cake.
Mv. M
Hey Steve I'm im a student pilot and I fly out of Opa Locka signature and I always see your tbm850 sitting in the hangar and it's so cool!
I also want to become a pilot but my dream is gonna break
@Michael John Dennis legend
Awesome videos! I am an ex pilot (lost medical:(!!!). Missing it. Flew for a Beechcraft FBO w/sales. Instrument/ multi engine.... 700 hrs then grounded. Thanks for the videos. Wish I were there.
Hi guys, I ended my flying days about 20 years ago and started about 35 years ago out of Honolulu International. Then did a few years in San Diego, then Guam and ended my time in Chesapeake Va. I just wanted to let ya know that I really enjoy your videos. They bring back some good memories. Thanks a bunch and keep em coming.
David
I absolutely love the one man production process. These videos are so relaxing to watch. ThanksSteve!
I wish there was a channel out there like yours for A&P's. I'm not a pilot but really enjoy the way you lay the flights out and interact.
This is so much better than television.
on television you attract problems into your life, here you attract what you love
@@geniusmarcsays2434 Ain't that the truth. Watch the TV and get mind f**ked.
So true!
yeah better than watching game of thrones ending
that's because television nowadays is very agenda driven
Must be an amazing feeling to just hop in a plane and fly wherever you like!
Fantastic vid...I’ve dreamt of flying all my life - financially it was an activity outside of my budget...I can live my dream through these videos ... thank you.
ARC FOR 32 years Tower, Approach and Center....been in hundreds if cockpits both VS, AT and COMMERCIAL. So sad I never got my pilots license. Excellent video Steve
I have watched so many pilots on TH-cam. After a while, it becomes evident who the good ones are based on how they handle their plane. Some make me very anxious; they don't seem fluid in their actions. After watching this, I would fly with Steve anywhere!
Pat Williams .... yeah he's very professional
Have my private license but haven't flown in many years due to the expense. LOVE your videos and I now live my pilot life vicariously through you. Keep it up!
Bust those 1 hour coffee minimums by keeping an extra screw-top travel cup hidden under
the seat. The published single person flight endurance for a venti cup is 3.5
hrs (deduct 3.0 hrs for children, the elderly, and nervous fliers). Placard the
mug in a discrete manner and employ a checklist when pouring crew coffee.
Good advice.
Always less cluttered and more informative, the details are clear particularly when you are not encumbered with passengers, good to fly with you!
Until these videos I had no idea how planes worked. I thought I did but no.
Thank you for these awesome videos!
Miami Opa Locka, that airport bring back some interesting memory. Many years ago i was out over the practice area over the Everglades. Then when we was going back to the airport north of Opa Locka, North Perry KHWO, a heavy thunderstorm passed over North Perry so the tower took the unusual decision to close the airport.
So we had to divert to Opa Locka, when we have landed and taxied to the FBO, we suddenly noticed a police helicopter just above us and a lot of police officers in all directions. It turned out that a large group of inmates was going to be flown out from the airport.
Suddenly we see a line of prison inmates in orange jump suits, all chained and standing in line waiting to board the Con Air.
Thanks for another awesome video.
Made it look so simple as driving a car...
I'm nore scared of driving than flying.
It is.
Stop the cap
Steve. I really appreciate it when you show the flight map and verbally expound on the route. That helps me a a viewer to get a clear picture of the beginning and end path flown. Great videos and commentary. Thank you.
I missed Oshkosh this year and I'm only 45 minutes away in Green Bay (GRB) - hopefully you go next year - I really enjoy your videos - it would be cool to be a passenger of yours - take care man!
I'm heading for Oshkosh...again. Last year, I caught Steveo as he was walking alone through the entrance of Camp Scholler. I was on my motorbike, gave him a big greeting and welcome to Airventure. He didn't take me up on my offer to give him a ride though. ;~)
I feel like a co-pilot. Thanks Steve 😂😂😂
You're inspiring me to get back into flying. Used to be very into it when my grandpa owned his airplanes! Really is no better place than just being up in the sky all alone!
Best produced flight videos on TH-cam.
Yes best pilot
TheTemest This is so cool
Very nice, but I would like to hear more engine noise during flight.
true but swayne martin is good too
Definitely, can't wait to start flying
Hey Steveo. Sort of following your career now. In training now to fly the SAAB 340 for Silver. Got a lot of motivation from watching you. After 36 years as a firefighter I feel like a kid again getting to fulfill my other dream of an aviation career. Having way too much fun! Keep those videos coming, hopefully many others will be inspired to chase the dream!
Hey Steve! Great video! You've really inspired me to get into Aviation. I'm gathering up my hours and hope to get my license by my 17th birthday. I always love your videos!
These are not only great videos and flying, but you young guys out there that what to fly , get it done life is short !
It makes me laugh to think that every time you have a shot of you closing the door you have to open it back up to get your camera.
matt mcfadden Doin' it for the culture
Matt McFadden ikr😂😂😂
I have thought the same thing.
@@dereksmith3382 ...,, t
Never even thought of that good catch
I signed up for the channel, I am Brazilian aviation enthusiast, currently the first officer in the simulator Rotos Engine, Italian simulator, very realistic.
I wish success for the channel.
Oh what a coincidence, turned 29 today and I got a new video from Steve as a gift. Nice!
+Pavel Vápenka happy Birthday!!
Pavel Vápenka happy birth day
Happy Birthday Pavel !
Happy Birthday Pavel.
Happy Birthday Pavel
This channel has been a great inspiration to me as I work toward my PPL. I recently completed my cross country solo requirement, and found myself looking in the mirror before heading to the airport and saying "Who's ready to fly to [destination]? ... This guy is!"
Thanks for the great videos Steveo!
Great videos Steveo.... watching all the way from downunder in Perth, Western Australia. Cheers...
This video is proof that IFR is much less complicated than VFR cross country. Steveo makes it look so, so easy.
Awesome flight once again steve, you make flying so easy and so much fun, keep the videos coming.
His calmness is so contagious that I could watch his videos before bed to help me sleep
Capt. Steveno, i like ur flight style.
I cannot describe watching this,You can hear the passion just from your voice!
Glad to see the bird back in the air
Steve, I enjoyed riding with you in the TBM and watching you go through the motion of take off and landing. Many years ago my brother-in-law had a Mooney Statesman that he let me fly from Bismarck to Albuquerque, NM. We left Bismarck just as front was moving in from the west. Somewhere over So. Dak. it hit and the winds literally lifted the plane and if I remember correctly blew us off course. Love flying and sir I do envy you in that beautiful plane. Thanks for the video.
Don't change. Love the videos, the explanations never get old. Fly safe.
This video is really cool. I’d never be able to trust myself with flying. I freak out too easy and guys like this have nerves of steel.
Love the effort you put into your videos! Always learn something new while watching them
I did it, took my first training flight in a Cessna 172M. Love watching your videos! I learn something from every video.
I love this channel so so much, Stevo you da man !
I love how steveo is so professional and knowledgeable. You can tell he really loves his job. He gets me so excited to pursue aviation as a career, keep it up steveo.
What is his job though, freelance pilot?
That landing! He sure did want you to know the wind was CALM
In case anybody was wondering, the wind was calm.
Alexander NH its the thought: “oh no! did i say wind speed / direction? I better say it for the ATC tapes!”
20:04 This, in my opinion (21-year military fw-mel and rotary pilot), is a great decision. He probably could have made that happen but he wasn't comfortable accepting that request. IMC, established on the approach with a caution for wake turbulence from a large aircraft would've been enough for me stay put as well. Well done, sir. Great video.
FL300 in a turboprop, damn.
That would be a flying road block!
I know, right?!
Wow.
It’s built to cruise at FL310
God man, you are so lucky. Trying to figure out where to even start to become a pilot. You have the dream job sir.
Keep the good videos coming mate.
He is an outstanding Pilot and make flying very Easy and Clear
20:25, a pro setting a good example.
Matt Jensen bite
Your videos take me to another reality (and keep my morale high) during my extremely boring and repetitive job. Best companion ever. Thank you!
"Good morning everyone how we all doing?" Yeah my Dog died "Good Good Glad too hear"
Lol
However nice video
kattymindiolaza
Steveo really enjoyed this video and particularly when they asked if you could switch to 21R . Nope and when you were at 500 you check one more time to make 100% sure. You always seem to maintain a positive even strain and a combination of smooth and safe. Have a good weekend!
Contest Idea: Who ever would suggest that they fly with you to Oshkosh and do a video of the trip.Wins and gets to fly with you to Oshkosh. Just a thought
+Mercury OneOne I guess if that's the contest you better pack your bags!
Good to see you back in the air. wishing you clear skies and wind at your back.
For the price of a TBM it should come with a bathroom.
Scott Reid at least a funnel with a hose attached and a hole in the floor.
Adult Diaper.
How did you know he drilled a hole below and has a golden plated funnel with flex tube.
With the price of a TBM you should get another, 2/3rds. off
For the price of some peoples bathrooms you should get a free TBM :)
I don't normally place comments but Steve your videos are just too great not to, real inspiration. I'm going for a trial flight lesson soon and I can't wait till I'm up in the air. Good luck for you and your channel, happy flying!
That music at the start of the vid was awesome!!!
Stevo, just started watching you yesterday. Great job flying and multi tasking for us. I flew for 11 yrs and this brings back great memories. I must compliment you on your excellent flying skills. keep em coming. happy landings.
I think it's so cool Ed Sheeran also flies planes
He's a twat tho
I thought he was Motocross Superstar Ryan Villopoto
HaHaHa, good one!
well,he need more beard to be ed sheeran
Kenny Kewn His music is fine
I flew to this airport a couple of times during my cross country flight from Fort Pierce. Nice cars they have at the FBO!
im starting flight school in september. always excited to watch your videos

HowToRight Vid well, good luck and have mutch mutch fun flying and learning the best thing there is! :-D enjoy!
CaptainJelte thanks

Glad you finally got back up in 1TB. I'm getting back current myself and use your vids as my "wings aloft" until I get back in the left seat myself. Keep em coming.
Steveo, Because of your videos I was encouraged to pursue my commercial license. I'm a 800hr private pilot that is now a multi-engine commercial pilot. I also started working towards that CFI certificate. Awhile back you were talking about becoming a CFI. Are you a CFI? I'm flying from Boulder CO to Oshkosh. Maybe we will see you there. Will
+Will G that's awesome Will! Hopefully I will get to meet you at Oshkosh.
Will, unless you have a "calling" to teach mostly primary and some advanced flight students, if you're single and can live on meager wages, find a company that will hire you with 800 hrs. Don't waste your time and $$ on your CFI. CFI's are for guys who want to rack up time for free, and get paid for flying whenever the weather allows it and your students don't cancel. Rack up another 700 hrs, get your ATP and if you really want to teach, you can with your ATP as long as you're teaching on an aircraft for which a type rating is required. I got my CFI, CFII and MEI 33 years ago and I quit teaching 18 months after my initial CFI. And I lasted that long because 4 months after my initial CFI I got hired at a part 141 school that was on contract to conduct the flight curriculum of a 2 year college that offered a pilot program.
Don't get me wrong; I love to teach. But I found that even on a Part 141 school like the one I taught for or schools like ERAU, ATP and the like, where students pre-pay and are more committed to learning, many students show up quite unprepared for their flight lessons, so you end up spending more time on the ground than in the air. When you get paid by the "teaching" hour (every CFI knows ground time doesn't pay as well as flight time) you depend on students that are ready and don't try your patience by having to repeat the previous lesson because they spent too much time partying and not studying. The love of teaching doesn't pay the bills. Just my $.02. Good luck!!
Rivikesojosh, Thanks for the 2 cents! My CFI friends have shared the same story with me, they only want to fly with pilots that need a flight review or pursue more ratings. I thought being a CFI would not only look good on a resume but is a nice way to network myself into a flying job. I'm single and free to move around the country so what better way to meet people than hanging around a flight school and meeting all the local pilots. I just might meet someone with a C208 or TBM..
Loved the coffee time planning. No further explanation needed.
27°C at 6:30 AM... wow!
Chris Hii Miami in a nutshell
Hi
India love
I just can't stop watching your videos. Even if they are older!
ETE 59min we just passed. You know what that means... #coffetime !😄
#TBM851tb
Great video, as usual. I will be at Oshkosh 26 through 29. Will look you up at Bose the 28th. I would like to fly my Cub up there from Tampa but probably wouldn't make it until October so I have tickets on Allegiant and camping out on grounds. I like it that you refused to sidestep to 21R, you have enough to do single pilot IFR without having to reset everything on final in the soup. Too many pilots think the controller is controlling the airplane. They don't call you pilot in command for nothing. Again, Great video, one of your best...see you in Oshkosh.
That is my home airport. You should try their on-field restaurants. The Downwind is a burger joint that has a deck overlooking the the flight line. The 57th Fighter Group is an awesome WWII themed restaurant that is a bit more formal.
The NG has risen!
You guys are so cordial on your company frequency.
Very nice quality on the video and good job, engaging your audience and keeping them informed.Take care Capt. Noel United, in from HKG 777-200>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
These videos are great. It makes flying appear simple but as someone who has flown an airplane, experience is definitely key!
I greatly appreciate how you explain what you are doing flying the plane from start to finish. Never have made it to Oshkosh due to my schedule. As for Florida and Georgia, way to humid for me although I do have friends in Atlanta & Albany. 1 hour before arrival, coffee time, not a problem in the PC-12 which has a restroom although you can't light a match or open the window. When do you think you'd be able to fly out here to the West Coast?
We all missed you Steveo. Welcome back.
I guess, that's the maximum of coolness you can get flying a single engine turboprop.
Nice flight. Great video for someone who learning to fly and wants to become familiar with using the radio. I know when I was learning the radio work made me nervous particularly when you had a fast speaking controller with little patience, or a long clearance that you struggled to read back because you weren’t familiar with the message sequence. Like you I can now chill out when I’m flying.
speaking of no bathrooms, have you ever had to divert because of either yourself or a passenger needing to go?
Mike Rizzo pretty much every pilot has at some point. Especially when flying with your pregnant wife lol
Flying solo just piss in a bottle lul. But make sure the cameras are off
We carry these special devices known as "range extenders." www.chickenwingscomics.com/775/range-extension-bottle/
What an interesting question. It's ok people saying about peeing in a bottle but what if he had passengers on board or he needed to take a dump? No Curries the night before a long flight, ha ha.
exactly. I'm a private pilot, I understand when you're by yourself. But if you have paying passengers, they're not going to want to go in a jug....or watch you go in your jug...
I never new why coffee time was at 1 hr to destination until this video!
I've been there. Recently had to dump the plane on the ramp and run full-sprint to the bathroom and come back to park it later.
Thanks for taking me along.
Who is going to Oshkosh?
She can welcome me to Atlanta any time. Adorable!
What happens when you need to go to the bathroom during a flight?
Abdur Rehman Syed you go the bathroom
you either hold it or pee in a cup
just take a portable toilet, for example what baby's use. then take your number 2/1
Diapers
Find an airport, piss down the tube on your leg or piss in your seat. Take your pick.
Wright brothers would go nuts seeing this....What will we miss 100 years later !!!
Stevo you should get her number
Nathan Abraham yeah! And give it too me lol...
You guys need a life. You always think there ready to jump on your lap. She is there for the job and to make money not to be a hooker for all of you under sexed dudes.
H B make money. Get what I mean
Get her number is not jump her bones, lol. She is very cute, no.
I love you
Great to see the TBM back! More procrastination thanks to Steveo.
why can't they make the dashboard a little lower so a pilot can see out more easily? This is on all airplanes that i noticed
Holly Wood You won't be able to see the instruments properly. Us tall pilots already have trouble seeing the lower instruments since the seats cannot be lowered
My hat is off to you, Sir. I couldn't ever do what you do. Flying terrifies me & I've flown many times. Heights scare me terribly, plus it makes me sick. I think it's cool what you Pilots do though. Thanks for sharing so I can enjoy from the ground, lol.
I've wondered, in the beginning of your videos, you always climb inside the airplane and close the door, and you're filming it. Do you open the door, get back out and retrieve the camera, or does the lineman/linegirl hand it to you through the window? :)
Do ALL the girls at ALL the FBOs know you, are you THAT famous (with your TH-cam channel, you should be), or do you just ask them if they want to be in the video, and 'here's all you have to do!'?
I was surprised that the controller asked if you wanted to take 21R, seeing he would have known you were IMC.
Finally, I was watched Paul Bergarelli over on AvWeb, and he did a thing on gear up landings. What do you do as final checks to make sure the gear is down and locked?
i remember him saying before that he gets in to get the the shot then has to get out again
Pay attention (keeping in mind that he mostly operates solo) and you'll notice he does a lot of time consuming staged shots. Steveo puts in the extra time to give us way better than average production quality, I really appreciate it.
Oh, I appreciate it, too. I enjoy Steve's videos, just as I enjoy Flight Chops, Mr. Aviation 101, and Captain Moonbeam's videos. They all appeal to me in different ways, and they all put me back in the cockpit.
Gary C im subscribe to all
Gary C they won't always know you're IMC just saying.
Such a relaxed Pilot. Wonderful to see such expertise
WOW! I'm going to check for a job at Atlantic Aviation. That woman is gorgeous!
Somebody, somewhere is sick of her shit. Try tinder.
hahha thats fiunny...
Just caught this video. Its funny that you are excited about going to Oshkosh. That is where I grew up and my family would always leave Oshkosh during EAA due to the traffic and shinanigans. Hope you are having a wonderful time. Appreciate your production of this video, was very interesting to watch.
16:03 - light chop. Delta would not stand for that.
_I_ would not stand for that! Me no likey having my stomach placed in my mouth at _any_ time during a flight. O_o;
What is a light chop. I'm not a pilot.
the report name for turbulence
You make it all look so easy and relaxing.
Nice! I was contemplating how it would be to be a pilot but I dont know if I could do it as I am a little afraid of heights.
You aren't aware of heights when you are flying, except when close to the ground.
Love flying the TBM SOCOTA makes a wonderful aircraft
Hey Steve,
Does that thing require a ton of right rudder to maintain center line on takeoff?
+Upstate Flyer a lot of right rudder is required with both the TBM and the Caravan I fly during the takeoff.
steveo1kinevo You can fly a Dodge Caravan? Holy shit this guy is good.
Do either have any sort of rudder augmentation? We had a TAD (Trim Aid Device) in the T-6 that supplied additional right rudder input in flight regimes where it was needed, especially on takeoff. It was supposed to give the airplane a more jet like feel but you still had to kick in a decent amount of rudder
That's what I figured.
Yeah them dodge caravans have monstrous torque. Only van in the world that can fly.
Glad to see the TBM again!
