I usually use Bergion blue steel set. Or make a blue steel rod from steel rod,maybe S45C.
Bought from domestic watch parts shop.

Incredible work! The roller looks huge when you're trying it for size. With the balance wheel and spring, that's a lot of weight for such a tiny pivot!

Скажите пожалуйста у вас так хорошо режет blue steel ( у нас она называется: закалённая) потому что хорошо заточен штихель?

Yes , gravers are very important.
I use tungsten rods. And make to shape it.
If you can not get tungsten, you can use shank of tungsten drills.
