You clearly were lucky enough to be born a human. Learning to fly as a bird at an early stage of your life and not failing to do it is basically a leap of faith.....

If she can defy gravity by keeping her feet on the broom while upside-down, I don't think Marisa even need the broom to fly at all. From what I'm seeing, if the instruction on the screen is correct, the controls are pretty counter-intuitive. Usually in arcade flying games, the direction where the "nose" is pointing is the opposite of the button pressed. So if you want to pitch upward, you need to press down and vice versa. While in this game it seems to be the opposite. Doesn't seem to have speed control either so that is very detrimental to the overall handling experience. An advice for me is for the dev to study more games like Ace Combat, lol. Like you said, it has a potential. I can imagine a Touhou obstacle flight game doing well. Tl;dr: Huge potential, needs more research.
Ngl touhou flight sims are Indeed possible mechanically, you just need to model these (I'm using my derived flight sim knowledge here), a "frame" that has literally godlike Thrust-to-weight ratio, Thrust Vectoring, First Person Perspective, to make Aiming feel more person like than plane like: model the aiming system of the apache's main gun as well as mapping a seperate key for this "free-look/aim" and "plane-look/aim", On-The-Fly adjustable projectile convergence, on the bonus of having a cast system for the character's unique abilities...so does that mean spell cards will act as weapon loadouts? Tl;Dr: Descent + DCS (considering how feature and system rich 4/4+ Gen fighter jets are modeled in that game, especially the 5th gen mods) + Overwatch mixed together.
You’re asking the wrong fellow for that one since I hardly travel and if I did, it was a car trip to a neighboring state but I’ve heard it’s terrifying because you never know if you’re gonna crash.
Ooh! Higan Retour! That's a good song. Although pretty much all of Touhou's songs are good.
It's ok if you don't know how to fly, piloting a plane/jet isn't easy (let alone piloting a flying broom).

Yeah it isn't easy

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well when it came to the controls. It threw me off.
canonically, she could fly without her broom, she just went with it because "it looks more appropriate"

5:30 Don’t go flying after hanging out with Suika
Getting some unfortunate superman 64 vibes from the flight simulator.
... I guess i'll let a pilot fly that broom
Also: a little bit late, but welcome back
The flight simulator game doesn't seem like it was very well designed.
I mean, 3 days...
For good flying experience You should try ace combat 7. Game is gorgeous and flying with xbox controller is actually enjoyable.
I imagine it must be easier than this, I think.
Word of the day: Turbulence.
Yikes.

It kinda does, but thankfully like I said I hardly move at all.
