I think the scariest thing about “Slasher-Film” type games is the limitation of choice and freedom when facing danger. Most important actions are QTE’s rather than you making ALL the decisions which kinda waters down the scary for me.

I love the whole "what doesn't kill you will make you stronger" bit. Because think about it. As you progress, there are opportunities for you to return and re-do things (even if it is another playthrough, idk how it all works yet). You return with the knowledge of what you already did and what you haven't done and are now 'stronger' in a sense. It opens a whole new world to find new secrets and stuff. Kinda cool
