Hello. I am interested in house sitting only, maybe twice or 3 times a year. I do wfh and would love to just get out of the vegas heat. What are your recommendations. I don’t need compensation, just to accommodation for less than a week. I can fly myself to the state like FL, HI, NYC, or San Diego, etc. preferably close to the beach :) Thanks
We could be looking for house sitters later in the year. Duties include: Feeding the Kookaburras at least twice daily. Relocating any snakes on the property to the nearby bush. Manual with full instructions provided (next to the first aid kit). Relocating any spiders inside the house to the garden or beyond (Hunstman look scary but are harmless, although Redback spiders can be dangerous). Don't worry about the wombats or monitor lizards/goannas. Put out the rubbish and recycling bins once a week. Water the garden regularly, particularly when the temperature hits 40C plus, then early morning at late at night. Go easy on the wine cellar, and the beer in the frig!
I have been homeless a couple of times before, it sounds like a nightmare to me! Plus I like to do things that are more stimulating. I would rather deal with the consequences then to pay this couple to be in my bed for months on end! Heck for that I might as well pay for a hotel room for them, yikes.
There is 'homeless' sleeping on the streets and then there are 'homeless', living in beautiful homes and mansions all over the world. How is this married couple being compared to the sleeping in a cardboard box folks? Makes no sense.
There are nightmares and there are dreams. This couple is not living your nightmare. And if you would put them in a hotel so they wouldn't be sleeping in your mansion, on your 700 count bed sheets, they would not be house sitting for you in the first place. Again. Makes no sense.
What? Uh, the homeowners have house sitters for a reason. They, the homeowners are away, and don’t want the place empty. Plus, many ppl have animals that need care. The house sitters are actually needed. In Costa Rica if u leave your house and no one is protecting it, ANYONE can move into it, and the law gives the squatters 17 years to stay.
