I had a ton of fun on this trip my friend. We all caught fish im glad you didn’t drown in the river that hole you almost went into is scary deep. Congrats on starting up your other part of the business. I will definitely consider you when I make materials orders.

Yeah Matt, it was super fun! I love it when everyone is catching.
The inventory is pretty moddest by most fly shop standards, but I've got to start somewhere. Let me know if there's something specific you'd like to see.

Fell in the Lower Yuba in early December. It was within the first hour of the day and the water temp was way warmer than the air. Made for a cold day, but was already committed and too far from the car. I went out and got new boots immediately. Made a difference!!! Glad you had some sun and made up for it all with a gorgeous fish. Exciting to see you venturing out into retail. Love the videos. You keep my passion going when I'm here behind the desk. All the best to you going forward!

I think most of us have taken a dip at some point. You spend enough time on the water, it's bound to happen.
Thanks for the support and I hope you get on the water soon!

Glad to see that you are ok. I kinda wish you wold have showed it. Not to make judgment on you but to learn from your mistake.
I've been fishing from the banks and float tubing lakes for several years but I'm pretty new to fly fishing and wading in rivers. I went with a guide one time and he had me on my limits of comfort in the Owens River. The next time I went, I used a collapsable hiking poll. It worked fine until it collapsed on me. Luckily, I didn't go in. Now I have bought a nice Simms Wading Staff. Haven't used it yet but I can't wait to get out there soon. Thanks for all the fishing info that you provide!

I wish I got it on film too. I didn't think to turn on the gopro. I usually carry a wading staff made from a shovel handle, but I lost mine a few trips out. So I definitely need to replace it.
I also have been wading in rubber soled boots. Switching to felt would give a lot more traction. In the end though, I made a bad decision to cross a section where the current was too swift. I could have easily been washed down into a deep plunge pool where I couldn't stand up.

LOVE the overhead drone shots!!! Awesome fish! Congrats on the store!

Thanks Jeff. I've been wanting to get shots like that in the past, but I wasn't able to cary my drone. Tried a backpack which has more room and I like it, so this kind of stuff should be more common

You spend enough time in the water, eventually you'll go in. It's not a big deal if you're in slow current, but I'll be avoiding the swift traverses in the future.

I got some new studs for my rubber boots, so I'm hoping that will change the situation a bit for me. Walking on banana peels is less than ideal.

I like me some back eddies, I have caught also a few good fish letting is drift in that back eddy. This past weekend on the Green River was really good in some back eddies for me. I know that feeling of going into a hole and wringing out the water! Fortunately though where I slipped into was only deep through that run and I would have easily come out of it -- just really wet! Love the beginning drone shot also!
