I'm not even a Rambo fan and yet I'm still amazed at how NRS all of the referrences and Easter Eggs that they've put in Rambo's intros. That's just another proof on how incredible NRS/WB are with their intros.
@@angelsilva7207 IJ2's intros got recycled a lot more than MKX or MK11 because it was developed during a strike that voice actors across the US committed back in 2017 for all types of media (games, movies etc) from all companies, so it prevented NRS/WB to get more lines for the intros. And even if that, IJ2's videos are still incredible, just like with MKX and MK11.
Geras really was right about Teasle, especially you read the book. Those cops were mostly assholes but Rambo escalated it a lot further than it needed to.
That's because in the book Rambo was a nearly-nameless Vietnam vet with severe PTSD who had his illness triggered so hard he basically went crazy on the asshole police of a small town.
The one with the Expendables can also reference to the 2nd Rambo movie, when Rambo was asked why was he the one sent and Rambo replies, "Maybe because I'm expendable"
With Terminator: "Your ass is gonna be terminated." It's from this line in Expendables 2: "If I don't get this back, your ass is terminated." "In your dreams."
Fun fact, for the second reference on the movie, Sylvester only agreed to do it because Arnold said he would too but obviously he wasn’t so he tricked him into doing a movie like that
The one with Shao Khan was a double reference. "My god you're big" was a line from one of the Rocky films when Balboa did a charity fight against a wrestler (played by Hulk Hogan)
You know I think Johnny Cage was being genuine when he told Rambo that sharing his story might help him and didn't get the idea for the movie until Rambo said it.
Crazy that someone from Mortal Kombat tells Rambo that his battle from the first Rambo movie couldve been avoided. And the viewer could actually agree with them.
Couldn't the expendable line from kotal could also be a reference to the scene from first blood pt 2 where Rambo says he was sent to Vietnam because he was expendable?
