We need more discussions like this going out to our youth. To many people are going through life being unhappy. And remember you are never to old to do what you like. Take the leap!
You are sooooooo right! You reinvented what we all knew before the internet era. We knew that our friend that always sketches during the math will be a painter or an architect we knew that these litttle escapes from reality were our purpose. We could see that this friend with the vivid imagination could be a writer or an artist ore a director. You reinvent things we forgot in this era, and iam glad about this. butI will give you an advice and please consider it. Start a conversation, start communicating with your parents with your grandparents, give them an extra hour per day, cutting it off from fooling around the internet and you will learn so many things that you cant imagine! Reinvent as well family values! And you will find your passions inbetween!
I think this doesnt work for everyone. Most people’s procrastination interests are artistic hobbies which don’t lead to stable, well paying career choices. Some of his examples were stable though like engineering or programming, but for many it may not be.
Sadly very true (about the well paying careers), but I think he also wants (even tough he didn't explicitly say so) to share the idea to encourage the viewers to find out more about themselves and a way to figure out new hobbies and passions which you can do in your free time.^^ But it is true the procrastination ideas often bring joy yet aren't very well suited for a well paying career.
