This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie when he walks from Manhattan to Brooklyn in the cold lol! Listening to the Bee Gees serenade us with their great voices. The best part of the movie in my opinion.
Always liked this scene. I love the music and just the way Tony walks from Manhattan to Brooklyn just to confide in the only person who has supported him; his Mum. I'm one of the few who preferred this sequel to the original.
I like how Tony walks by the 2001 Odyssey dance club (now a gay club) without stopping. He just looks at it for just a split second and keeps on walking. He probably thought if he did stop and gave it a long look it would bring back too many memories. It reminds me of a dance club I used to hang out at every Saturday night some years ago and it is now closed and abandoned. I drive past it every once in a while, but I don't stop. I just keep going because I know if I stop and give a long look it would bring back a lot of memories. So I don't blame Tony for just walking past the 2001 Odyssey. When he did that he probably thought, " This isn't my house anymore." So again I don't blame him.
That was my favorite scene in Staying Alive (1983) at first I didn’t know this was a sequel to Saturday Night Fever. So when I saw this movie, I actually like it and I was kinda expecting to be the same from SNF, but it didn’t because everything changes. Tony Manero doesn’t see his friends and relatives anymore except his mom. The scene that I saw was that he walked from Manhattan to his old neighborhood Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. When Tony got to Brooklyn he began to realize how much his life changed and he passed by his favorite place, where he use to go with his friends 6 years, and took a split second at 2001 odyssey and became a gay nightclub.
@@ricardomorales8969 Lots of these bars and dance clubs change, but it doesn't impress everybody. They draw a lesser crowd and they don't make as much money as they used too. I know that for a fact because I've seen it happen. In fact I've seen it happen to so many places like The 2001 Odyssey it isn't funny. Of course these places end going out of business sometime after. It's a sad story, but it's true.
As someone who grew up in the 70s & 80's that whole Rock vs Disco food fight was really dumb. The Who, Led Zepplin, Stones et al. Made great music. But, the Bee Gees & Donna Summer et al. also made some really badass music too. It was a great era for ALL music
Jackie is so goddamn fine in his movie oh my God it just breaks my heart to see her go through that I love everything about this movie the soundtrack was the casting was the seeing the directing. John just walk through this movie with the greatest of ease this is one of his best performances of that time this is one of the best sequels to any movie I've ever seen I climbed into this movie I've seen this movie so many times it has such a life
Jackie (Cynthia Rhodes) is the most beautiful! The other woman was pretty too but damn.. no one compared to Cynthia! But my goodness was she quite foolish for still accepting him in the end even though he cheated on her & treated her like trash & still kissed the other woman on stage during the broadway performance while Jackie watched & SHE STILL FORGAVE HIM. LIKE WHAT!?! Oh man, us girls can be very foolish when it comes to love. Choosing love that isn't right for us; choosing love that kills every bit of our soul & still staying in a toxic relationship that we know is no good for us because in a way we feel that's as good as it's gonna get & we also don't want to be alone so we stick to something even if it's very bad, even if it kills us. This is exactly what happens when you have no love for yourself; you look for it in the absolute worst places & accept it. So so sad.
