Having pests is embarrassing! I thought I had a mouse in my house. Turns out I have a rat! It's very embarrassing and I don't want to tell anybody. I had a pest control guy here this morning though.

As long as your not a hoarder and clean on the daily, it’s not your fault. They find ways to get in the house so easily. Maybe he just wants to help you make a meal? 😂 I think rats are cute but the stuff they can carry, fleas, diseases etc. they also poop everywhere and pee every where. No thank you! Good luck!

Having bed bugs is not embarrassing. It's doesn't mean your house is dirty / unclean. They can hitchhike from other people's houses, hotels, etc.

They necessarily don't even have to come from your house. You could go to a friend's house and sit on the couch and travelers will jump on you and then when you go home and sit on your better couch they'll jump off. And then they'll start nesting and one thing leads to another and you have bed bugs. It's crazy

@@OfficialShiftyfn I ended up not having them after all this second time around, thank Jesus. I think it was just chiggars or something that caused my reaction.
If you’re sure they came in on clothes though (they often hide in the bottom of shoe crevices too), they probably are hiding already somewhere else in the house.
You’ll want to check for any large grouping of black or reddish specks under your mattress, in the box spring, in any holes (like where screws go in). Near the walls or baseboards or even up at the ceiling. Behind outlets (turn off the breaker first). That’s what they did when I called for an inspection that ended up being free.
You can also check the bed bug subreddit if you end up finding one or have other questions.
The first time I got them, I discovered it crawling on me when I woke up that morning. So what I did was buy like a cot off Amazon and put some bed bug traps underneath the legs so they can’t crawl up it. That way I at least had some sleep. Then I had them heat treat the whole area to kill em all and the eggs.
The first night though I didn’t sleep & they came crawling up the walls & I must have killed over 100 between 1-4am. And that was apparently a “small” infestation.

  • @kylewest100

What I want to know is if you found them in one room after tearing the whole house apart will throwing away that bed and stripping the room of all items and filling it with DEarth and closing the door potentially stop them? We’re definitely getting and exterminator it’s just the holidays so it’s hard to get anybody out here.

Bedbugs don't eat dirt, They don't care about dirt, They want your blood.
I promise they don't care if you are the cleanest person alive or the dirtiest. They'll gladly bite you.
