Thanks for the update. What a complete nightmare of a saga! I really hope your problems are over and stress-free ZS EV driving can resume. BTW I reckon you have the patience of an absolute saint 😇🤗

      Thank you for watching!
As mentioned, I do hope it's over and it'll be a learning point for others if running any troubleshooting. My patience was definitely tested!

A positive to take from this is you were able to compare ICE cars and EVs. Even though you had issues with the MG ZSEV, it didn't take long to sort out once the problem had been identified.

Overall, I felt as if I needed to feel the experience for myself. I don't believe many others have had this issue before, so it's good to see what the dealer experience is like (and it is okay).

Hi Kev - Glad you are EV driving again !.
It makes you understand just how expensive fossil fuel has now become.
Just to clarify then, it was a faulty A/C to D/C converter in the end on your car then ?.
The wait time on the new part(s) was not TOO long then..
All parts and labour covered under warranty I guess ?.

      Thank you!
Yes, it was the PEB on top, and covered under warranty. Wait time was under two weeks so not bad given the horror stories I've heard.

What’s up with it? My o/s mirror has gotten a little sticky on cold weather. Driver door handle sticks out well pulled but pops in when closed. Also the join in the rear wash hose (top left engine bay) behind the master cyl and hv lines has come apart; perisher of a job to get at.

In short, car went in 4 times in total before replacing a big part

Give the mirrors and door handles a little bit of gt85 or the like, keeps them in good nick.

As a follow up to my break down around the same time, car was back down to Longbridge, and was away for a few weeks.
Absolutely no word from MG as to what they did to it, and they also didn't supply a hire car this time 🤨
Using Car Scanner on the OBD, I'm seeing one brand new cell, and one cell a bit low, with all others well balanced. Total difference is around 0.25V. And I'm trying to drag them into some sort of balance. It does feel that range has been affected, but maybe I'm just imagining it.

That is good news that you've got it back, but really they should've given you a hire car, even an ICE given that your car wasn't working. Have you tried recouping the cost of the hire car on the dealer yet?
Balancing takes time, so don't worry too much. I believe that range may be marginally affected if the cell balancing is out, but maybe at most a couple miles.

@KC Talks EV I ended up borrowing my parents car for a while 🤣 I'm waiting to hear back from MG with info. Taking every chance to balance charge.
Here's hoping we're both clear of trouble 👍
