Thank you for sharing you Trip Report.Always a smile when meals n deserts says impossible made possible.Happy you enjoy your meal .Happy travels to you.
In May and June, three different trips, I was in the worn out, dirty, uncomfortable 737 first class between EWR and SAV, MCO, and RDU. I thought all of some of these versions had been upgraded. UA should be embarrassed. I am planning a flight to the west coast and I am dreading it when I see how many of the available flights are 737s.
Hey iTripReport I’m a big fan. One of my favorite videos is the new JetBlue mint studios Also, when are you coming to Boston again? That’s where I’m from.
I went on this plane from IAH-CUN it was very retro and It was the 737-900 I was like why is the plane like this but before the flight it wasn’t retro it was so fancy and comfortable since it was the Max 8 and the blue new livery which was from DCA-IAH the max flight had IFE and the 737-900 had direct tv
Lots of complaints about the catering in these comments. Idk- I’ve eaten at some of the worlds best and finest restaurants, and yet I still think that chicken dish in UA First is.. good? Like it’s a US domestic airline (and while they may improve, and have done so- they’re never going to be on the level of an Asian or ME carrier) serving a hot meal so my first instinct isn’t to complain lol. I think the chicken is actually tasty while I’m in the air, but I also know I’ll be eating at great places once I land too, so. Overall I really like United. People rave about Delta One but I saw some of the older hard product, I would highly prefer Polaris over that. AA I…don’t even know what’s going on with their crew. On United I’ve had some of the BEST service I’ve ever encountered. Great video.
Excellent vid very informative for old first class.. my whole life is old economy,🙃🙃🙃🙃👽👽👽. But here's some things that I like to see. Can you post now 2023 vids. Also good taxing out and take off music is hotel type piano and jazz music if you want. It's on utube. Very relaxing for flying I think. Keep these vids coming today's grade is A- .
Thanks for allowing me to put some time in for you united airlines and united cargo and characters. 2023 edition applications. Two men pilots two women pilots something to come home too.
Whenever I fly United, it's not often a positive experience - especially with regards to the food. I will say that something seems to have changed (for the better) with the attitude/behavior of flight attendants in the past several years. After the merger with Continental, flight attendants just seemed to dislike their jobs or were dealing with a fairly negative work environment. Generally I avoid United when possible - although they are the most optimal choice when flying out of Houston.
I had a similar plane from MCO-EWR. It is a comfy seat, but after the 737 Max with the new seats and IFE with bluetooth for earbuds this was just disappointing. I agree though about the meatballs, the are shockingly good for plant based. Have you done the EWR to Key West flight at all? I'm hoping to see someone do that in the future.
Home in the United States after US militaries return home or quit or get fired from position, airline jobs are new position thanks again man. Does this count as credits to ward humans airman? Thanks. Appreciate it. A way to keep tower to airline bus and learn of tower and runways to travel to.
Nice video! Do you or anyone else know of any sort of database that has been created to track the retrofit process? I remember someone had created one for JetBlue when their A320's were being retrofitted. I'd love to know when they plan to start doing the A320's/319's, and what that process will consist of... Will they just get new seats and call it that or completely strip the cabin and put new paneling/ overhead bins in, like JetBlue and Delta did with theirs.
This right here is the most accurate representation of both UA's fleet, and (eventually) NEXT retrofit tracking: sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/mainline-fleet-tracking The "NEXT" tracking tab hasn't been updated, yet to be fair, only a single aircraft is being retrofitted as we speak
So far, what we know of NEXT retrofits is that the A319s and A320s will have screens and outlets attached to existing seats. As for overhead bins, sidewalls, and moodlighting, we don't know yet. It gets even less certain when it comes to 737NGs and 753s since those haven't started NEXT yet and there's a huge veriation across those fleets. The only NEXT prediction I can confidently make is that 30 MAX9s will get new seatbacks retrofitted onto existing seats since those planes use Meridian seats like the NEXT MAXes, and MAXes with the small blue divider will be retrofitted with a bulkhead found on newer MAXes. Those MAXes already have Viasat wifi, Space Bins and Moodlighting so that won't be touched.
@@Blank00 actually! A photo did leak were the A319s were getting new bins installed! (Same ones as the delta a321s). So at least we can assume they will be getting a full new cabin makeover!
Tuesday, April 4th Orbic team CEO United Airlines 2023 edition I manage you fly I get it. KMTJ Airport hub and base USA Montrose Colorado, I apologize decided to do the human civilian thing. Find everyone in our fleet routes
Based on leaked pictures of the NEXT A319 economy, United will put their IFEs into existing seats, very similar to what UA did with their 787-8 economy seats, what CO did with most of their 737s and some of their 757-300s, what Delta did with some of their 737-800s, and what Qatar did with their 787-8 economy. Nextifying their 737NGs and 757-300s will be interesting. All of them have Pinnacle seats, but they have 4 seatback designs throughout their 737NG and 753 fleet. Will they put new screens into existing seats and make just one seatback design for NEXT because that's what they'll do for Airbuses and MAXes, or will they put in new seats because accounting for 4 seatback designs is too complex?
Don't quote me on this, but I feel like what the plan is, is to install Meridian seats on the 737/757 fleet, since that would maintain proper commonality between aircraft. I was actually thrown off when I realized they're putting Recaro on the Airbus fleet, although I can't complain, as those are some of my favorite seat designs, especially during American's LAA days. The real question is, for the NEO, will they go meridian, or Recaro to maintain commonality with the airbus.
@@ITripReport I think the NEOs will be Meridian. I feel like the reason why they chose Recaro for the existing Airbuses is because those are not brand new seats, they're old seats with new IFEs and power ports attached (similar to how Delta put in new TVs into older Zodiac seats for some of their 737-800s). This is cheaper than getting new seats and United chose the cheaper option at least for the Airbuses because the aging A319s and A320s are more likely to retire. But when it comes to their 737NGs and 753s, I think it depends on when they plan to retire those, how much it will cost to replace seats vs. how much it will cost to refurbish 4 seatback variations. I don't know the answer to any of the 3 questions.
@@ITripReport NEXT for NG and 753 got even more interesting. The A319 MEXT turns out to have a new first class seat design. So in addition to economy seat choice, retain old sidewalls vs replacing with BSI sidewalls, Space Bins vs 3rd party bins like on Delta's 752s, now another thing to wonder would be whether same seat as A319 NEXT or same seat as MAX8. Dare I say it, it may even beg the question on what UA will do with MAX first class. I wonder if the United-bound MAX10s have already been fitted with seats
Just flew UNITED First IAD-LAX. Same type of seat EXCEPT WITHOUT any monitors. Pathetic cabinet hardware, old, and dirty! There were leftover food items on the armrest welcoming me. The food was even worse, if that is possible. Flew Polaris in APR RT to SIN. Good hardware but also lousy food. My daughter is Global Service and the first thing she warned me was DO NOT EXPECT anything from their food service. Guess United never got the memo that to win the heart and mind of the customer is through their stomachs. Like Delta much more
So happy to be one of forty-five thousand persons applying time to the united airline families. Love you very much united airlines.
If I'm gonna be stuck on a United flight the only time I'll worry about catering is long haul. United always disappoints
the snack boxes are the only think i get from them; i have a lot of allergies so i don’t eat plane food since i have no idea what’s in it
Just had a flight last week in a 737-700 NG with direct TV between DSM-IAH and they do improve the in flight experience a lot, even in economy.
4:11 LOL THAT KID😂😂😂
Another awesome report as always. I didn't even realize that their DAL CJR2s were still around.
I love the computer storage.
Looks very sad when you compared to the new product on the 737max 9
united domestic first catering seems to be improving, i had a great meal in it on a 3 hour redeye out of SFO recently
Great trip report...enjoyed it. As a fellow 1k, I can attest to the catering issues. Hopefully will get better
Excellent video! Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱

This reminds me of a United Airlines flight from Seattle to San Francisco, where half the flight had turbulence.
That was a real bumpy ride.
I stayed at the intercontinental last month. It’s a super cool place!
Extremely rare United catering W

Found the jet washing app and the jet wash seems to work better in auto with undercarriage wash.
Nice trip report! itripreport you need to convince me to fly UA once! As an American, Alaska, & DL flyer I find very little reason to fly UA….

MAX 9s are already being retrofitted and some are already flying arousn
