Katanga is only a name of our place, here out of Katanga is nurses, policemen and women, some on the navy and Airforce, stop treating people from the wood labled due to the name of the area everyone doesn't want to be gangsters or criminals indeed who are born in kantanga are born strong street life, stop criticisms and focus on your own areas where things are done stylish mxm
I totally agree with you on all the points you mentioned above there. Not sure if you watched this video to the end, I advocated for all the points you mentioned and criticized classification of people by areas and colour... I am a firm believer that the human race goals, dreams and wishes are the same on this planet. I also believe that starting point is definitely not the final destination hence we have well to do people from Katanga like Doctors, nurses, navy seals, professionals and great business owners. Please watch the whole video you will see that we are on the same page. Otherwise enjoy your Sunday evening and stay blessed 🙏🙏🙏
I've been hearing a lot of that too especially on social media platforms.... Apparently the 3 to 4 times that I've driven in this community everything is normal like in any other township communities around South Africa.... Kids will be playing on the streets and others going about their day to day business.... I am beginning to believe that media over hypes the real situation on the ground. I stand to be corrected though.....
@@RazeenPhillips I am not tough at all, it's just that I look at all places as equal... When I see people play on the streets I feel it's safe, at least for that moment.
True no doubt, hence I mentioned in the video that I stand to be corrected and went onto asking viewers to comment with correct information. Once again you’re right should have waited a little bit for correct ✅ information, maybe!
I think its a very good video and i like your idea of getting feedback of good positive stories coming out of areas. Another good thing is you're putting some of the real poor and impoverished areas on the map and for that i salute you🙏🙏. Driving through Katanga is one of the scariest things to do even for myself who comes from the Nothern Areas.
Really?... Been there about 4 times now everything seems normal there, just like any other township communities around South Africa, kids are playing on the streets and others going about their day to day business... All seems normal.
Why is it called KATANGA 😂😂, this is the name of one of the provinces in D.R.CONGO, which ,in 1960, right after congo independence, wanted to separate from congo to form its independent country . Thankfully, it failed .😂
@imhotep1613 From 1960 onwards the area became renowned for gangsterism and fighting. It soon got the name of Katanga derived from the DRC where there was a climate of extremist fighting. It was almost as if the same killings and fighting in the DRC's Katanga happened in the local Katanga.
There is a lot off good also coming out off Katanga Port Elizabeth an in the hole off the hole Northern Areas
So true, Thank you for watching 🙏
It's nice to see home from someone else's perspective 👍👍
Thanks 👍 😊
Nice video bud well narrated and few will understand the risk you took in filming this. Hope to see more.
Much appreciated! More will come, true few will understand the risk taken in filming this.
@@thegreatafrikanchannelforget risks, you have balls to drive in Gelvindale 😂😂
What a great job you're doing. Imagine what a broom and planting of trees could do to those communities.
A broom and planting of trees 🌳 🌲 would definitely make a huge impact in some areas in the Northern Areas
⁴3⅜³⁴
Been in joburg few months ago in one yard 15 trees in one street there in Gelvandale five trees
Great video, when you got to Katanga I was like "I wonder if he's gonna turn in here". Nice drive.
Great video, thanks for sharing. The shopping area looks good to me. Much nicer than what we have here in Newport, Wales 😂

He calls Booysen Park Bloekendal?
A couple of mistakes were made as i am not that familiar with the Northern Areas and their boundary lines, thanks for highlighting 👍
Ek weet nie hoekom daar werkloos problem is in die baai kyk net die amount van dirt
Too much litter, it's distracting to see the beauty of the place, it's a shame that people can't clean after themselves
It's so sad... Wish people could just clean around themselves and before long the whole community or neighborhood is clean and beautiful again....
Katanga 😂 helenvale klein gelvandale..😅
No thats Booysen Park.

Hello, yes it was named after Katanga in the DRC mainly because of the similarities in the number of deaths due to high crime....
