Can you discuss the reasons why the Rolex Daytona was never a popular watch being almost impossible for Rolex to even give away up until Paul Newman's Daytona sold for over $17 million.

I met someone that worked for Watches of Switzerland and he said they had a safe full of stainless steel sports models. Every week they received subs and GMTs. Management would make the sales staff lie and say there is nothing for sale.
If you wanna counter flipper and screw over 2nd market, just make your product more accessible, not necessary affordable. If people can access the products then eventually the secondary market gonna die. Thats just my thought so far
