That was a great video boys. I was born and raised in Toronto since 1964. I know that area very well where the concrete sphere is located in those trees nearby where you fishing. It's a good place to smoke a joint when I cycle through Toronto. Out of the wind in privacy. I've seen those Harbor dragons from Shore quite a few times in my life.🍻👍
What a great video! I usually don’t subscribe without seeing a couple of great videos but in encouraging you to keep going, I will be subscriber number 305!!! You have a gift! I hope to see you do more! P.s. I’d love to do some Salmon fishing with you next season! 😂
Fantastic video - really enjoyed it. Lots of people saying about how the fish aren’t rare & easy to catch. Come & catch one then. Toronto Harbour is one of the hardest places to target big fish in southern Ontario imo. Lots have come, lots have blanked but like he says in the film. When you do get one, it makes up for all the hours beforehand. Hat doffed to Dylan for catching that! Will be looking out for him on the spit so I can shake his hand.
Winter gets more intoleraable even with the warmer winters, but I have appreciated pretty much all of the last six winters , especially last year. Samson is not far from my shop. I've seen 50 inch pike twice in the main channel of the islands on the surface, obviously they weren't hitting I heard about the musky stocking, Cook's Bay as well. I go to Chandos Lake for monster pike (and make content), they've been alluding me in recent years, but I think I've been hitting my spots (20 to 25 FOW) too early (mid to late spring), different from when I used to cottage up there in the summer. Subscribed!
Just like I would tell all my fishing buddies, you have to drive 15 hours to catch big fish. Just wait in all the traffic to get to downtown Toronto.🐟🐟🐟
We were out on the island with the kids one day. I was walking by the edge of a dock and first thing I spotted was what had to have been a 5-6 lb smallie. Then about a 14” pike following it. So they are there.
Super dope video, I pike fish from shore and in a kayak in the harbour I’ve never caught a musky there! Sad people are actually hating on this! If you see a Metis guy with a grey inflatable kayak, orange jacket say hi!
i caught my first pike like last week in the humber park east, it was tiny like 15inches or so and it fought GOOD! idk how ppl can hate pike fishing… cuz im starting to get addicted to it lol
Great catch and video, congrats people don’t realize how rare they are around here. Just be mindful about how much time those fish are you of the water, they looked kinda dry. They are quite fragile, aim for less then 30 seconds and unhook them in the net it’s safer for your hands and the fish. Dope and keep it up!
I have a question for you both have you seen the gill lice on the pikes gills or other spices you catch in the harbour? I ask this because I’m an avid Lake Ontario fisherman and our salmon and trout in the lake are full of gill lice the steelhead and brown trout getting hit the hardest… thanks great video
Lol, that is cool right in the harbour, wow yeah a Muskie is pretty rare in these parts! I’ve heard the spit is good too, walleye apparently there too, definitely trout/salmon, spring/fall. It’s nice when a plan comes together, confidence is key. I know I can get fish on lures, and if it’s an off day, so be it, I’ll be back to get them next time,🎉
Cool video. Fishing in the Harbour of Canada’s largest city. I live in Kingston and have often looked at the Harbour waters, wondering whether if contained good fishing. ESOX Forever.
Samson's dad is no joke, living on the island with a ton of baits! Send me an email (from my videos' description box) if you wanna head out. I have a 17 ft fish n ski -Anthony
C’mon, they're pike and musky. Caught them for decades and head to lake St.Clair for both and big ones. However, you don't waste time getting the fish released. Plies ready, net quickly, remove hook, snap Pic if you want and release. You don't hold the fish upside down to rinse it off to snap more pictures etc. Respect the fish always. Minimal Time releasing the fish is important for successful healthy , less stressing on the fish. Cmon guys, do better.
Handling the fish like a real moron here embarrassment to Ontario anglers. 17:54 pike gets wrapped in net and takes it out for god knows how long to fiddle around with a hook in the net and you can see the damage on the fish 18:33 from poor landing management. Finger blasting the sensitive gill plates 18:51 and release takes forever. 22:29 gill plates again. 27:28 muskie release clearly took way too long and the fish looked zonked by the time you had it in the water. But anything for the clicks right? Anything for the photo right? Anglers should watch this not to learn the cute little "fish facts" sprinkled into the whole video but to learn what not to do.
Relax buddy shit happens and I did my best to correct it and make sure the fish were released alive, I could’ve been quicker with the musky I was just in shock but they all swam off if you’re that concerned with harming and stressing out fish then maybe don’t put a hook in their mouths and drag them through the water 🤷🏻 if you think I don’t care about them and respect them you’re blind and I could care less for clicks and views not even my video clown
Im not suprised at your response I must have touched a nerve. You keep destroying your fisheries zone go ahead you will only ruin it for yourself and everyone else. This bullshit is far enough away from Nipissing water for me to not take this too personaly but we have people like you over here who think they know about fishing, releasing and couldnt be more delusional. I just wish knuckleheads like you could slow down and learn first and develop some good habits before you spread the bad ones on the internet.
@@dylansampson6999 Im likely twice your age and spent more time on the water than youve been alive so maybe recalibrate your perspective. I figured it would be good to show people precisely where you fucked up so that they might not do the same thing.
