      Let me know if you try it. I love my sling and this was surprisingly easy to make. Thanks for watching.

    I use a sling for my Nox 800 because of shoulder problems and a ruptured bicep tendon. The one I use is a modified rifle sling. I like this better because the suspenders are wider, lighter, and if I clip it to the back of my shorts it has the added benefit of helping to keep them up :). Great content, keep it up!

    I wish I would have watched this video before I wasted money on two other straps that are on the market. Using your suspender idea, I have noticed immediately how much more comfortable the strap is to wear. I detect large farm fields for copper artifacts and your idea works absolutely wonderful. Great idea, thank you.

      Thanks. I've tried other straps, but the suspender is by far the most comfortable & versatile. And the cheapest.

    Helpful info! We haul so much gear and then trash out of parks and beaches we just started bringing out a folding wagon to manage it all

      I know what you mean. I want to have everything thing I might need, but I also don't want to want to spend an hour putting on my gear.

    Nice. Just introduced my 7 y o grandson to beach hunting. He’s a natural but my Garrett wears his arm out fast. I was going to adapt my $40 shotgun sling for him and thought, let’s see what’s on TH-cam. Nice design. Thanks for sharing.

      @larryharvey7709 Thanks. It's by far the easiest and most comfortable sling to wear. Good luck. I hope your grandson finds something good.

    Nice hack Mark. I remember seeing these being used back before the multi-frequency detectors were a thing. Usually on the large mounted battery pack machines.I may try this with my Legend at the beach, using it with the 11 inch coil. I’ve heard the Legend can get a little heavy when the sand builds up on the coil. Thanks for this tip. Happy Hunts. _/👍

      Thanks. It really helps keep my shoulder from getting sore but I really like that I can let go of my detector without it falling to the ground.

      Thanks. Those are the best slings I've made so far...and the cheapest. They sell for up to $30 on Amazon.

      That's an easy hack. I tried it but it rubbed my shoulder a little. The flat suspender was more comfortable for me and easy to adjust the length. Thanks.

      @ecksmarksthespot007 mine was over my army webbing, so it didn't rub👍

    Well I don't need to use one as I have a nice a.very.light deus 11
    But I have a lanyard from my finds bag beit to the handle of the deus .save picking it up from the ground. Ps to use push to one side then dig hole.

      Good idea. Anything to make the process more efficient so you can move on the the next target: Swing, Find, Dig, Repeat.

    Where can I get that scoop "hook"??? 🙂

    • @ecks_marks_the_spot
      @ecks_marks_the_spot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hook on my scoop is just part of a gate latch I had in my junk drawer. You can get the belt hooks at a hardware store like Home Depot or on Amazon. Search for Power Tool Holster for a Cordless Drill. I showed the hook in one of my earlier vids. I call it the Sand Scoop Sword carry. It allows me to drag my scoop behind me without having to hold it. Thanks for asking.

    • @ecks_marks_the_spot
      @ecks_marks_the_spot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tip: If you are attaching a hook to your scoop handle, pull the rubber grip off and slip a small wooden down inside to give the screws something to bite into (1" closet rod usually fits perfectly). The stress on the hook can rock the screws loose if they are only attached to the fiberglass. I also shove pieces of noodle foam down the shaft below the wood to make the handle float. Then slip the grip back on.

      You know it! Nothing like a heavy finds bag to pull down your pants.
