Jimmy - I started watching Richard’s utube videos about 4/5 years ago. I don’t like giving my secrets away but if u take a look a Richard Gene’s loop knot video (that’s his secret 😄) u will see a whole different fishing experience. I can tie that loop knot onto a #8 demon ice fishing lure and that will make that lure not only vertical but a fluttering horizontal. I tie that knot winter or summer, bass or bluegill. The knot is the key it allows that lure to look natural.

I used to love watching Jimmy on tv catching and kissing bass! I live in pa and about 8-10 yrs ago on interstate 78 I passed this boat all done up, then I said to my cousin,”hey did that license plate say Oklahoma?” He said I dunno. I said Jimmy Houston is from Oklahoma! So as I slowed up we looked over and there he was the man! Jimmy Houston, he looked over at us threw us a wake, we waved back then we hit traffic, thought he’d stop at the Cabelas just a few miles ahead so we stopped but didn’t see his truck or boat. It was very cool to see the guy I watched many times!

That's how I make my shrimp sauce ketchup and horseradish 😊 And I use Miracle Whip or Mayo and pickle relish for tartar sauce - sometimes with chopped onion powder for more flavor 😊
