- These poor vintage G.I.Joe figures have seen some action in their time. Both have broken knees that need fixing. Time to get the Lego out. Different era's of Joe's have different Knee construction so require various methods to fix them up. Watch the video to see the process.

I always loved these old O-Ring Joes. I would spend hours mixing and matching parts to create my own new figures. Great fix Dave!😃

I use the little red hoses that come with wd-40 cans work great. But I do like this method. And believe I will use it from now on. Just ordered some of those lego parts on ebay.
Brilliant!!! What a great idea. Now all I need are a bag of antennas. Put a little nail polish in the bob that the knee attaches to. It will snug it up.

Great fix today Dave. Thank you for giving us great ideas on fixing our Gi.Joes. The plastic used on these action figures was so delicate that the joints would break easily due to constant play. I have 2 Night Vipers and I fixed the leg of one, but there's another problem with that particular action figure. The two connectors on the sides of the helmet where the visors or night vision goggles go, are always breaking. I would love to see another video where you tackle that problem. Again, thanks Dave for your superb ideas on how to fix these toys. 👍

are you referring to the elbow? or are you meaning the top part of the arm that fixes into the body?
I found you can repair that bottom peg on Night Viper with the right size comb tooth. Fits the accessory perfect.

Good info Dave!. I need to get some lego antennas. Also, Night Viper in particular has a lot of pegs... the pegs on his leg to hold his gun, and the pegs that hold his visor on, then another peg that holds the night vision scope onto the visor. Thank you buddy!

Night Viper was my favorite G.I Joe as a kid. Now my kids play with it as well as a host of others Joe's. My biggest bane with this character was the visor and rifle holster stubs (on the leg) would always keep breaking. Still to this day a cool looking toy.

I'd definitely be interested in more videos about joint repairs for these sort of figures - luckily my Action Force figures are mostly okay but my Galoob A-Team figures seem to be broken everywhere, and luckily those and the Black Hole figures seem to use the same basic design as these Action Force / GI Joe figures.

I love GI Joes but my God, they were the most fragile toys I had growing up. Each and every figure became destroyed in time.

I don’t know if you take requests but do you know if it’s possible to fix the spark action for the G1 transformers that had that gimmick?
Only if 8 year old me had this knowledge… I had Quite a few joes that didn’t make it home to mama joe….
With all your mentions of "G.I. Joe knee", it made me think maybe we have a name for the female Joes now. "G.I. Joanie". ;P
I just bought a Night Viper with a broken visor peg. Which lego piece would you recommend to replace it with? I thought of using the Lego piece commonly used as the gear shift in smaller sets
Whip antenna is the smallest you can get. Either that or some smaller diameter styrene rod.

Would this method work on an 84 Breaker figure?
Worth a try. I think they are all the same or very similar in construction.
Cool work but I sure hope you don't sell these I'd hate to get 1 of these in my Collection not knowing it's been broken at 1 time.
What about GI Joe rust stains
White vinegar. Drop
The screws in the vinegar for a couple hours. Brush them clean.
All my Joes are starting to disintegrate, so I’ve started selling them on EBay while they are still in one piece. I’ll take that $ and reinvest in the newer generations.
