BlameItOnJoe At 0:37, you can see Yeojin go behind Gowon. Yeojin is still behind Gowon so at 0:42 Yeojin rises and Jinsoul ducks behind her.
So this the formation is actually Jinsoul behind Yeojin and Yeojin is behind Gowon. When Jinsoul started singing the the other girls in front sit down they didn't let Vivi, Cheorry, Chuu, and Hyunjin do like what the other girls in front did so they Jinsoul can go with them when they sit down. But since Yeonjin still exist, they let them stand a little and raise their hands so they can hide her since she's not that tall. And then KABOOM, the Jinsoul to Yeojin transition exist.

super late to this but i just wanna add that even the lyrics do the same. hyunjin (yellow) sings "보랏빛깔 눈을 뗄 수가 없어" meaning; "A purple color, I can’t take my eyes off of it", referencing her complementary/opposite color (choerry). later in the song gowon also sings: "Blue 로 더 짙은 색깔로 그려줘", meaning: "Draw me with blue, a darker color" after which jinsoul (blue) says, "So you can see me, so you can see my heart". its soooooo cool. (EDIT): also after the dancebreak, the scene where haseul switches with kim lip, she first says "ppalgake" meaning red then kim lip (red) sings, then they switch.

Dangerous Dziwka Girl, BBC has done so many things for us from giving us Loona TV on the regular (with eng subs until now), these choreo practices, amazing songs and MVs, and helped make these 12 girls we stan so much come to life yet you still manage to nitpick all the little things they haven't done yet. I can't tell you anything other than patience. BBC has spoiled us so much that we Orbit have become nasty brats. BBC is a wonderful company and I can't fathom how people think otherwise.

hii! i know it's been a year since you've posted this comment, but i figure i should reply anyway! when they transition, gowon stands at the front, and yeojin is sandwiched between jinsoul and gowon. so, jinsoul stands at the back of the three. when gowon slowly drops down to reveal jinsoul, yeojin drops down immediately to avoid being seen by the cameras. jinsoul, who is standing at the back, sings her part, and drops down, while yeojin stands up to sing her part. the way jinsoul is able to drop down out of view is because our eyes are focused on the other members, who flinch their hands up and down to reveal yeojin. yeojin sings her part, then exchanges places with jinsoul, who is still standing at the back. this gives the illusion that yeojin was behind jinsoul, but really, jinsoul was. :>

Kinda late too, but it's really precise.
When they get into formation, Yeojin and Jinsoul walk to stand behind Gowon as she does her part, Yeojin being in the middle. Gowon turns around, very carefully and exactly, making sure she's covering Yeojin perfectly. When Jinsoul does her part, and Gowon lowers herself slowly, so does Yeojin. Yeojin stays unseen behind Gowon. Then when all the members throws their hands up, it covers Jinsoul and she quickly drops down. And when the members get back down, Yeojin is standing there. She stays standing while the rest stay crouched. It really speaks for LOONA's skills and immaculate synchronisation!
