Someone might've said this before me, but I'd actually like to say this anyways just as a possible refresher. Not only is angling the weight safer for the shooter, but it also adds to the effective thickness of the plate itself. Technically, at that angle, you're shooting a thicker plate than what is actually there, so if it were flat you'd likely have more penetration. Cool video tho.
Scott I caught that vid from Kentucky Kustoms when you picked up the wicked Monster Malibu - thought I was going to be one of the first subs. I think I'm pretty close - since you're filling up your garage with these cool machines, I just happen to have some extra space if you ever need somewhere to keep the Big Red LOL!! Oh- get that darn T/A on the road already!!

Congrats on the Monster Malibu. It would be interesting to see what these weights actually weighed before and after being shot. How much weight would be removed by the holes and chips put into these plates???? It might be fun to find out. Thanks and stay safe.
being we cant go back in time. i think we can assume the weight was very close to its listed weight before the shots. so if Scott weighed it afterward I think we could have gotten a satisfactory result. good idea

Yup. 🤮 that p.o.s. rifle.
It's been demonstrated that the rifle wasn't the problem, the ammo he used had been tampered with by a previous owner.
