    Thanks for all the advise. This past season was going to be awesome. My son a senior in HS and I bought a Seaark 2072. Zero ducks on the east coast and now 2 mallard limit. These videos give us inspiration to keep trying. He is headed for college after his (virtua)l graduation next week.
    Thanks for your hard work over the years.

      It was a tough season for most last year... I'm believing this next season will be better! Congratulations to your son in his graduation... I know it's not the kind of senior year or graduation he hoped for. There's a lot to be learned at this time for making the best in a situation. Hopefully he is learning to persevere and be thankful for what he does have!

    Good list! I’ve hunted some timber in Louisiana but never did much good other than woodies. They make it very hard for non residents to hunt public WMA in Arkansas. So many rules. Like 18 shells per hunter, limited hours, how fast a boat can go, one time, one place WMA stamps. Only jerk strings. I just haven’t gone but I would like to try it.

I have hunted 6 states and 2 provinces.I even got the chance to hunt The Eastern Shore of Maryland in it's heyday.I won't mention my home state of Nevada but if you have access to private it can be as good as Anywhere. Washington state has everything you can think of, some of the best sea duck hunting in the country, you can find flooded timber depending on where you go and also east of the cascades you got some of the best green head and hunker hunting around. I think personally if Washington had more duck hunters it would probably kill more mallards then Arkansas. Washington is unbelievable

    • @SurvivingDuckSeason
      @SurvivingDuckSeason  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Washington is a great state for hunting and fishing! I think part of the reason waterfowling is so great there is there isn't too many people doing it. If there were a lot more hunters in Washington, they wouldn't let em shoot 7 mallards a day (Count you blessings). The duck population in the Pacific flyway couldn't come close to supporting the harvest numbers that the Mississippi Flyway has.

      @BadAssBassFishermen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SurvivingDuckSeason i did some simple math with each flyways numbers from the number of hunters compared to the numer of ducks harvested and the Pacific flyway had the highest amount of ducks killed per person of 16 a year I believe and the central and Mississippi flyways were around 10 to 12 or so and theres a lot less hunters over here then over there but who knows

      PNW Outdoorsman you’re not looking the the data that shows the amount of birds in the flyway or the amount of birds harvested. The population of ducks in the Mississippi flyway is almost triple of the Pacific flyway. For 2019 season Arkansas per person average is 16.6 which was the 2nd highest in the nation behind California which was 21. Washington and Oregon normally make the top 5. Pacific flyway is strong in this statistic because the have a 7 bird limit with all mallards. You can find all the data on US fish and wildlife website. The information is really fascinating! You’ve given me a really good idea for a video.

      California has insane mallard hunts depending where you're at. My dad back in the day was part of the mystic lake club and you able to shoot 7 pintails a day constantly

    • @joeymacedo4746
      @joeymacedo4746 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      PNW Outdoorsman true there are some good spots but in general mallards are better in the central flyway. That was also back in the day before the population exploded and the hunting slowed down. The club my dad and I used to hunt at was nicknamed “mallard alley”. Now it’s “spoonie alley”

    • @BadAssBassFishermen

      @@joeymacedo4746for the pacific flyway Washington has insane mallards like Arkansas, just not nearly as many hunters so it doesn't get nearly as much hype which I like, keeps the pressure down. But California has a lot more cinnamons then up here.
