thanks great video. this year had been super warm winter but now hitting frost. For citrus in Phoenix area I assume you are OK covering right? Minor correction: most frost the moisture in air is directly deposited as ice on surface - it goes directly from vapor to solid. Also covering plants will keep them a few degrees warmer - on clear night areas exposed to bare sky can get 4F colder than air.
Have you considered burning several metal barrels on frost night? I know Orlando Gardeners does this by strategically placing several around his property to protect his mangos and other tropical, cold sensitive trees by changing the surrounding temperatures without having to cover them up.
My mother tells me about how her father would burn tires around his watermelon crops and other types of crops on cold nights. The smoke would linger on top the fields and create a sphere of insulation. This would be mexico early 1970's
