Hi DJ, no there is no relation between the dreamcatch and this wall hanging. Traditional African mudcloth was use as clothing/covering. We on the Western hemisphere like to use the textiles for fashion and decor. So this is a modern "boho" wall hanging with traditional African mudcloth

I bought it from a store called cultured expressions. You can find them online
