@@Scott-hy3gs either buying the fuel, killing ghosts for voltas, or powder grinding in the jungle for oil barrels. So for Ironman generally buying is better, atleast early on

@@Soren64gaming it’s a lot cheaper to get divans armor than a drill, but with gold mining being as good as it is I’d recommend getting a drill and mineral armor, I think 455 is better than gauntlet now, especially if you’ve got atleast a Mithril engine
@@emanuel-c5g I wouldn’t sell anything to get into mining, just use the Midas staff in dungeons or on crimson isle mini bosses until you’ve made enough, but even a 455 is better than a gauntlet now so you can start with that and then mine until you can afford to upgrade
the prices mentioned are often way higher than what you actually need to pay if you simply buy the parts required to forge then item and then forge it yourself. like if you look at the titanium drill x655 the ah cost is 482m at the moment but the raw craft cost is only 183m and some of the parts needed to forge the drill can be forged aswell saving you even more money so it only costs around 150m maybe even less
I think everything I recommend is best route for ironman tbh, I have zero experience with what's best to go for at what times with the drill upgrades tho lol

Solution for Gem gauntlet: Refined version or Perfect version, and then make it expensive like 1/3 or 1/4 of the 655, give it back breaking power 9 and 1600 or 1700 ming speed,bc it is a pickaxe so it will not have drill parts
@@Rainworm9 if you have all other upgrades, might as well use it, but when I dropped mine I was like HotM 5, so I sold it and bought divans armor and a 655, so it really just depends on what stage of the game you’re at and how much you mine

@@ElementalsMe all you can really do is commissions, it’s generally faster on Ironman to skip the ruby drill until you powder grind and just focus on Mithril and titanium drills while grinding Dwarven mines commissions

Hey My Dude, I am Sorry to have to say this but regardless of the nerf to the Gemstone Gauntlet you "ARE REQUIRED" to get the mining tool. This is the weapon that the devs want you to use in the Glacite mines for mobs and it is at the point right now where you can't really even do the Glacite mineshafts without using this weapon. Also you can reforge the weapon to get the BP back up to 9.
That is completely not true, you can use any drill or pickaxe to oneshot the glacite mobs, the only reason to use a gauntlet would be for the extra gemstones that are dropped, but they nerfed that ability extremely hard so it isn’t even worth buying.

Getting Mithril drill upgrade was pretty brutal and now I'm dreading getting the titanium drill and flamebreaker upgrade in ironman.
The only guy helped me start mining i watched many videos but only this one is the only one that really helped me
