Arrived home last weekend after 2 weeks in Med Palace -breakfast was ok but not great -bacon was warm but the eggs were stone cold -they will cook fresh food for you but of course you have to stand and wait -we only had bed and breakfast but we heard lots of people that had half/full board complaining that the food wss not good enough for a 5* hotel
They don’t seem to be organized for many people at the same time ! Also less choices than in the past , I have the impression ! Nice but not practical at all ! Same for the rooms !
Disappointing hotel... Very LITTLE choice for the buffet and low-quality produce. They can't cook porridge which was watery and only the two cheapest types of yoghurts when we stayed in July (in this video I can see five). Not 5***** I agree with you on the rooms. Won't stay there again!
So they've increased the hotel price ,reduced the inside restaurant size so that it will not cope when the hotel is at full capacity (there have been queues in the past when it covered a much greater area) and dramatically reduced the food choices -we've been staying here for over 20 years and are booked to stay again in september but we are not impressed with the breakfast shown -will reserve full judgement until we visit
Best to CANCEL your stay quite frankly, you will be SO disappointed. Not too many people when we were there this months but even so we had to queue inside the restaurant at breakfast/dinner to wait for other to help themsleves. AVOID THIS HOTEL!! NOT 5*****!!! We booked several nights in July 2024 (240-300e/night, don't waste your money)! Do not let the attractive-looking outer areas mislead you! Here's why: - buffet serves CHEAP FROZEN FOOD (watermelon was frozen!! avocado too and icy-cold coudn't eat!!, gyoza/springrolls cooked in front of you are frozen!!) - very little choice for breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet and LOWEST QUALITY of produce (ham, salmon, cheese, cheapest yoghurts from supermarket nearby) - they don't know how to cook porridge, it was watery... - waiters/staff incompetent and don't speak English well enough, don't know the name of the food they serve even in Spanish (typical Tenerife dish made of beans I asked for), chef never smiles - meals were so poor we weren't even looking forward to go and eat after the first day - restaurant staff like birds of prey: they come and snatch the plate from you! - no water offered with meals, you have to pay (2e60 to 3e60 per bottle per person) - rooms/bathrooms are small - no closing wardrobe in rooms but everything open (cleaning lady can see all your belongings hanging) - ventilation makes noise all night IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP - 2 days in a row ROOM NOT CLEANED BEFORE (!!!) after asking they 'forgot' and it was only done once during our stay - pool always in the scorching sun even the babypool, no protection for children at all - unable to use gym it was FLOODED (!!!) they had to get the spinning bikes out - VERY LOUD childrens' disco in the afternoon (can't relax in the room) and completely useless (2 staff animators for 1 child one day) - VERY LOUD amateur music until 11PM (your punishment for paying extra for a pool or sea-view room, ludicrous!!!), one night we were in bed and the music started et 10:30PM to finish at 11PM, woke us up, ridiculous! - staff calls at 12PM sharp to command you to EVACUATE ROOM when announcing on arrival free check-out until 4PM because hotel only 70% full - when you try to have a word with them they pretend they don't understand English and repeat the same PLATITUDES - manager NEVER AVAILABLE ALWAYS IN A MEETING We were duped by the attractive-looking finishing and the fact the hotel was new and allegedly a 5*** but we will never book again and go back to the hotel where we used to go which is not too far. There are much better 4*** hotels all around. However, if you want to try book one night to try it out. For us it wasn't worth the high price. People who had know the hotel before were disappointed.

On first impressions it looks a poor layout,poor choice of food and too small. But maybe that was just the first morning and as the hotel fills up they will increase with demand..there first 2 weeks in September and be sure I will be all over trip advisor if it's gone down hill 😮
