they joke about sketchers but roger and jeron would remember sketchers legit used to have named "sponsored" skaters in skate magazine ads way back when 🤣
My favorite shoe rip-off story is the one about Chinese New Balance fakes. They were making exact copies for the black market, same colors sole, styling, N logos, all of it. But lesser quality of course. I watched the whole story in a National Geographic doc on counterfeits. New Balance has a factory right here in my home state in Skowheagan , Maine. It's a beautiful old factory building with a big New Balance sign proudly displayed on the front in a small northwestern town in Maine. But get this, I am not making it up.. When investigators for the doc looked for the Chinese factory they found the knocks offs at the time were made in a warehouse with a huge billboard sign on the roof that said "New Balrun" with "N" logo. I kid you not! Same colors, font, rectangle, the "N", everything.. but the spelling in Chinese pronunciation.. I'm not kidding. I laughed so hard seeing that. And sadly due to international copyright infringement law they could do nothing, their CEO said. Finally they found a crazy legal loophole and got them to stop but they didn't really. They simply turned the "N" on the knockoffs sideways so it was a "Z".. haha.. How crazy!
Interesting stuff. I wonder what models they make at the factory in Maine. A lot of it now and not just shoes is "assembled in the USA with international components." It's still cheaper to do it that way and they can still tout the made in USA tag line. I remember there being whole segments on news programs about it and how there were loopholes to be able to tout that as long as there were certain percentages of materials or stated it was assembled and not made in "xxxx." Thats how these knockoff factories in China get all their info to make the shoes, we outsource the materials and tooling and they simply do their own runs of the same and assemble it in their own factory.
You got that backwards bud 😂 the accel was based of the sal 23 which had no influence from any Nike shoes in 2002 when Nike opened their skate division the es accel was the most popular shoe on the market so they tried to make the dunk sb look similar and by your statement I can telll you’ve never actually seen the accel in person looks nothing like any Nike shoe
@@Butchernamedbilly bud the owner literally said back then koston, penny, and muska were all wearing "AtHlEtIc sHoEs" in their spare time instead of etnies. he wanted them to have chiller shoes so he CREATED "es". go look back at earlier es shoes they are literal rip offs of nikes and jordans LMAO. i support the hate for nike from ANY other shoe brand. except you es copy cat cry babies🤣🤣🤣

I bought a pair of knockoff Etnies Raps at Target about fifteen years ago. Looked identical, even the sole. However, the footbed was shaped so weird it hurt to wear them for more than a couple hours at a time

If you think that's bad, you should see the Indian companies that are stealing the Adio logo and placing them on J4 rip offs. How could they possibly get into legal trouble when no one owns the Adio brand anymore.
Imagine if Temu makes a fake skate team with those, like "Tim Penny" and stuff like that.
Hahahahahaha
Mike Hawk
Todd Falcon
Jimmy Thomas
Pool Roadriguez
Kelly lookin all salty in the thumbnail
🧂😢 😂
Hahaha
if eS released these he'd call them fire lmao
Dude thinks he owns es. He’s more mad than the actual owners.
The poor mans accel
The Skechers Jeremy Wray knockoffs were my first skate shoe back in like '96, I'd probably still fuck with those lol
I think those Jeremy Wray ones were called Simple shoes

Literally right after this vid....TEMU commercial.

The question is what is gonna happen with es, etnies and emerica brands..? The owner sell it.
you guys are advertising for temu
I’m surprised they make Es replicas…
They're prob better quality than Es lol. Just playing, I love you Es
Don’t hate on Temu
Es’ was sick around Menikmati for sure. But shits wacky these days. Change your shoes up my dudes.
I bought condoms on TEMU....
I Got 3 kids now.
Kelly's lookin' Hartbroken
He was not liking the teasing🤣
Roger with the shot from the other room with the “probably made in the same factory” line. lol

Louie Barletta rode for Sketchers and even had an ad!
I have a bunch of Transworlds from late 90’s with Sketchers shell toe shoes
The key part of that sentence is "used to".
Remember when airwalk was the top dog.
But Duffs n Simple hit there first gens out of the park.
@danbob1650 the Duffs era was a great one.
Temu is all copy of real products
So what fool, cry about it.

kelly looks sad to get exposed bout the estimate price the company buys the shoe for😂😂
Not really even sure what they could do about them. Copyright law in china is basically non-existent.

I wouldn’t buy from temu but shows that the competition wants the shoe brands to drop pricing
$100 a pair is too much
I got put in insta jail because I tried to tag és in the comments of that same add
kinda off a sick shoe
Usual Chinese way to wreck the world and quality of products
"Sketchy" should be the skateboard shoe name of Sketchers

temu shoppers cant be trusted
they look sick but i'm an 11.5
