I did not know the background behind the verses. SubhanAllahe wa behamdehi. That was very useful. Needed to be reminded today. Yes, so called friends can lead you astray a bit like shaitan whispers...slowly and steadily! But family too sometimes. Have to fear Allah Alone and be very mindful of slight "shifts" in your ownself. Complacencies slipping in, to appease close ones. Been there, compromising your deed for others hurts badly. Astagfirullah and being on your guard is difficult when you are too busy trying not "upset" others you love. But easy if you are ok with them thinking you are crazy. In my happy "crazy" phase now. Lol. Eventually some realize who is being the ignorant one if you stick to your principles in a strong but polite and gentle way. Some abandon you and walk out of your life when you don't "comply". Their choice. May Allah Guide us all and Keep us on the straight path with a good end. Ameen.
