After the success of Spider-Man throwing web projectiles, I wanted to do fancier projectiles. I also really wanted to do Thor next, so I combined the two ideas and made Thor, God of Thunder, throw lightning bolts at the cars!
The lightning spawns even more lightning when it hits, leading to electrocuted, flying, exploding cars through the air! I think it looks really cool. I also played around quite a bit getting the hand to look like it's throwing a spear. Thor also has his trusty Mjolnir hammer in the other hand to hit incoming cars! I've done so many Avengers and Marvel characters at this point ... I think the only one left is maybe Iron man or Doctor Strange :)

I would like to see this with some of the tougher skinned super heroes made with tougher materials
I don't make them tough on purpose. I find it really boring and annoying when I can't do any damage to the character. The cars are very weak and fragile, as you can see, and they break easily. If I made the character have tougher skin, the character would always win because I would need like 100 cars to make any sort of decent damage. That video would be 30 minutes long at least and would be very boring. Also, I'd be very tired of filming :)
Okay you at least make one where you actually lose in it or one that could probably make you lose

The whole point of these videos aren't the cars, but the Characters that they are fighting.
The cars are generally all the same, just 4 wheels and a box of voxels on top. It doesn't really matter or make anything different if I use a different set of voxels on top of 4 wheels.
Also, there aren't that many cars in Teardown. This collection I have is quite diverse. It would be difficult to gather more.
Which is why I try my best to make the model behave differently every time and have fun getting creative with that.
