The reason why Indonesia has three time zones is because Indonesia's territory stretches from west to east while India stretches from north to south that makes the sun stay in the Indonesian sky longer than in India even though Indonesia's territory is only two-thirds of India. To give you some clue, if you fly from Singapore to Port Moresby ( Papua New Guinea) it take 6,5 hours and the entire flight is in the Indonesia's sky.

Excellent VLOG. So much information, excellent landscapes of Indonesia and the road infrastructure. Indonesian is much ahead of India in terms of road travel. 800 kms bus journey in a day! This should be an eye opener for the Indian bus manufacturers. Instead of manufacturing thousands of sleeper buses they should go for such luxury buses. For upto 400-500 kms journey these are most ideal.

Let me explain, the minimum standard facilities for long distance travel in our country, Indonesia, are as follows : Official ticket service at the sales counter or online, there is a toilet on the bus, there is air conditioning, get a blanket for each seat, get snacks and 1 meal, The seat spacing is not narrow, there are smoking facilities (usually near the toilet), you can get off at the desired location according to the bus route (not allowed to get off at the toll road), there are no additional fees on tickets, There is no weight limit for luggage in the bus trunk, At least 1 bus has 2 drivers, 2x rest stops, bus crew must be friendly, Helped with carrying goods when boarding and unloading goods..
Some advanced level facilities: There are several classes according to the type of seat, there are leg rests, some buses have facilities for lying down, there is free wifi, there are desk facilities, television or audio equipment, You can choose from several food menus (free), there are special flight attendants for passengers, snack and hot water facilities (free), there is CCTV on the bus, a special place to wait for the bus which is comfortable. Pondok Pinang terminal is actually a temporary terminal because the real terminal named Lebak Bulus terminal is just 300m away from Terminal Pondok Pinang which is being renovated due to connection with MRT and BRT. That is why you would see the MRT station and Trans Jakarta Bus terminal are close to Pondok Pinang terminal.

In my country, Indonesia, minimum bus services for long distances include: getting a blanket, there is a toilet, getting free food and snacks, ordering can be done online or in person. The footrests on the chairs are padded or can even be straightened, 100% with air conditioning, there is a smoking area on the bus, free luggage capacity (normal condition).Get life insurance and safety insurance during the trip if you buy an official ticket, there are no additional costs .

Finally you made it.Great. Two months back i was there in Bali, Fit and finish of these buses are good. Apart from Laksana and Adi putro , there are Armada and Tantrem, top four coach builders in Indonesia. Dont miss the architecture in Bali. Every house has a roof which is basically an extension of the Temple architecture and also the Frangipani {Kath Gulap}, signature plant of Bali. As regards food, since you are less adventurous try Nasi goreng(Chicken fried rice with an omlete topping).

BTW, on 3:37, yes the body is originally made by Laksana, but actually it has been totally converted to Jetbus3+ Voyager model, similar to the bus that you ride to Surabaya, and it made by their own workshop. The "Jetbus3+" model itself originally created by Adiputro. Also the engine is Mercedes Benz, since RAYA has never operated Hino for their intercity Bus 😁

Next time you have to try Bus from Bali to Malang, There's a lot luxury bus also. Like M-Trans, they have a lot variety class like executive class : regular 2:2 seat configuration, Sultan Class with 2:1 seat configuration... Or other bus operator like Gunung Harta and Juragan99 with the all sleeper seat from Bali to Malang as well.

30:58 those green busses are TransJatim bus. It's kind of BRT system, and hey it's still new. It's only has 2 route Surabaya-Mojokerto & Surabaya-Gresik. Both are satellite city of Surabaya. Mojokerto had a lot of Indonesian Hindu-Buddhism history including kingdom, temples, and many more. Meanwhile Gresik is just an industrial & harbour city. Just an information if you want to travel to another destination in Easy Java. Oh yeah those busses also cashless (Rp.6k flat I think), you need an e-toll card for payment (BRIZZI, FLAZZ, E-MONEY, TAPCASH)
