There was definitely superstition on how you feed the ball into the machine when I was playing. We always had the thought that we were trying to put the ball into the machine as if it were a 4 seam fastball. But you'd always get the teammate who'd put the ball in like a 2 seam and just crush our hands getting jammed haha
