      I have a major concern :
The civilization's degradation we are witnessing is caused by family disintegration and all sorts of corruption like promoting drug abuse, alcoholism through ads on TV, night clubs, seeking for money as a goal, self centralization, keeping the citizens in credit debt, banks usury, making the value in ownings, yesterday sexual freedom, today LGBT, tomorrow incest, suppressing true intrinsic reaction towards injustice through Hollywood horror, sexual, violent movies, making people just hopeless viewers, advocating colonialists, accepting their arrogance, implanting a sense of inferiority to them in other civilizations…
Many people may just be too busy in solving their emotional and financial problems so they feel they're hopeless in acting to change the world crises, such as bombing civilians in Gaza. They feel overwhelmed and unable to help themselves, so how can they help others.
“Evil elites” don't care about you, absolutely whoever you are. They don't have a paycheck. Their system which we agreed on fits for them and gives them full potential. You can be happy when you get 200$ raise but this way they get full control then the poor becomes poorer and those extremely rich donate with the very little, which doesn't solve anything. This is our opted system.
Please be aware that the ultimate goal is to devoid one from true intrinsic nature i.e. making us ignorant and emotionally numb sometimes and other times arrogant and willing to accept colonialists' heroic crimes.
Who controls the media anyway ?
Actually social media may not be better, regarding policies and ways to control public opinions such as recommendations and comments section. BTW some comments may be written by cyber armies who pretend to be anything in order to serve their policy. They manipulate our minds. (Please Google “Operation Earnest Voice”)
So instead you go and deepen your loyalty to bad institutions (shined by media) as a safe reaction, I suggest you think differently so the world can become a true one cooperation, free from hunger or war, full of peace with true equal opportunities and fair competition embraced by love and dignity to all.
It's up to you whether you say “the system is more powerful than us” but at least now you may expect that our civilization cannot continue and foster this way. Want to do better ? Make “a decision” that is stronger than the system !
Sorry for this long lecture. I know it's difficult to perceive because we were raised in a way.

I think the homeless often get bad press and many people think they're alcoholics or drug addicts and some are,but we are all one unfortunate step away from potential homelessness. I was briefly homeless as a teen, due to being orphaned. It was back in the day when there was no help at all. It's horrendous. Luckily I found my way out of it. I feel for anyone without a roof.

To be poor in this country is still to be one of the richest people on the planet. This country does more than enough to support our homeless and for the VAST majority of them they could be off the streets within a month given the right amount of effort. From experience. I’ve learnt about the various charities and systems in place to help our homeless and upon trying to get behind many of them and help them up, I still find none of them seem to have the bother to do what’s necessary to fix their plight. Even if it’s something as simple as go to the JobCentre to apply for benefits. I do not pity them anymore as I find them to be lazy and apathetic. Nihilism will help you to understand why they CHOOSE to stay in the situation they’re in. 0 responsibility. Live as a victim. Play the pity card. They could do so much more and choose not to.

If you feel that the issue of homelessness is not getting the attention it deserves: don't whine about it online. Get up and pay attention to the homeless and tell us about it. Thst will inspire people to do something. Could be as simple as a kind word, buying them a warm meal. It's not really the world that's horrible and selfish, it's the people "leading" the UK that would rather house illegal immigrants on tax payer money than people who have been paying tax in the UK their entire lives, that are left on the streets due to landlords faulting on their mortgages and a massive lack of overall housing in general. We have a London mayor that is more concerned about preaching empty messages of "solidarity and diversity" and that "we are all Londoners" when the people he's actually talking about can barely feed their families, whilst he welcomes more illegals that only take from our economy and don't put back in. When you have entire social housing estates full of people that got here in the last 15 years due to Blair opening the flood gates to the world, and British people fighting for properties that they can barely afford to rent let alone buy or take mortgages out on. The cycle never ends, and the more we keep policing people's thoughts in stead of the country, will lead us further into becoming the 3rd world nation we now basically are. Britain has fallen, and will continue to fall unless we get these people out of Parliament, liberal and Conservative, neither have a clue and basically preach the same empty messages year after year will no action and constant lies.

I dont know how local authorities have managed to get away with not helping for so long...
The bureaucracy around services is shocking. Like only being open on wednesdays for 10 minutes, having to need local connections, refusing to help because of debt to the authority. I have seen this 1st hand.
My local council has just been awarded £700,000 to help the "houshold support fund" .. you try getting that help 😂
So many barriers, hoops to jump through, send bank statements, have a phone (which if your homeless is unlikely) etc etc.
Any "service" the council provides is impossible to access and if you do you probably dont fit the criteria

You need to pay staff to do that. Moreover, being forced to host homeless people might reduce their appeal to non-homeless people, reducing their revenue. So what you are proposing is that we force private businesses to accept higher costs and lower revenues and the only way that could happen is if the government, through taxpayers, was willing to fund this program. it's time we had a solution to the homelessness crisis now instead of charities sitting on money pretending to be concerned about homeless and councils not doing their bit all homelessness should be illegal in uk, if someone is sleeping rough they should be forced to do into a hostel or some sort of accommodation. all these charities sitting on millions should put this into action now. together all these stakeholders can end homelessness but the will isn't there, as it's not in the interests of homeless charities to end homelessness as they wouldn't exist then would they and the CEOs/Director wouldn't be paid £200-300k a year would they. once you end corruption and fraud in the system you can solve any human made problem.

While I am in complete agreement with the sentiment of your comment, I feel like I have to add that not all charities are cut from the same cloth. Generally speaking it's the smaller charities that are doing the most on the "front lines" so to speak.
And I would like to say quickly that one of the worst offenders are the (and this is approximate as I cannot remember the name properly at the moment) "The British Legion", yes the one that sells the poppies, the ratio of the amount of monies received from the public and businesses in contrast to the amount of which is spent on the support and aid towards former soldiers is absolutely disgraceful, disgustingly so. And as a consequence of learning about this (and I implore you to go have a look at the figures yourself) a few years ago I have gone from the purchase of several poppies a year to absolutely refusing to support the charity whatsoever, the figures and help offered was that contemptible.

Have you had a look round recently, your idea is great in theory, in practice however it’s impossible, social housing all but gone , temporary accommodation the same , why might you ask , it’s called uncontrolled immigration,8 million pounds a day spent on accommodating foreign illegal migrants in hotels , the government tried turfing them out on the streets recently to join our indigenous homeless, but they’ve quietly u-turned on this today , sorry , but tackling immigration is the key to tackling this homeless crisis,

Averaged out to a little under $1,500 a month. It's important to note that individual financial situations vary, and what works for one person may not necessarily work for another.

I'd like to agree, but having been close to someone who suffered underlying emotional difficulties that eventually spiraled into mental health problems and alcohol addiction, it's really not that simple.
We can attempt to patch up mental health issues, but genuinely successful treatment is another matter.

As someone who was street homeless several years ago through addiction things were tough, i had a background hiking and camping when i was younger and that helped but there were times when i certainly felt vulnerable, the girls often sold their bodies to fund addictions and it was something i was so aware of. Having found a job and got the help i needed i went on to help the homeless myself often seeing people i knew but i was aware too that it was often a choice they made. There is help out there but these services are so stretched at the moment, i think that the major supermarkets should really do that bit more and directly supply these foodbank charities instead of relying on customers to leave the odd tin of beans in the single trolley left at the exit. It's not like they can't afford it, and people please let's start looking out for each other, after all everyone has a story to tell and i often think "damn that would actually make a good book?". ❤❤

Britain should have no homeless people especially living on the streets in this day & age!! The government should be funding these charities, and many others, and also review their monies being sent to overseas charities, causes etc...Should be looking after our own first....After all charity begins at home!!

The Tory government couldn't care less about these people and never will, forget overseas charity being the problem, think ppe scandal, the private water company scandal, 13 years of Tory destruction of the NHS, public services and infrastructure. That's just a few examples of the billions Tories have funnelled to their donors to enrich themselves while the decent people suffer.
