Stage invading has been kind of a tradition at Morrissey shows since the 90s, it's calm down a lot, they used to be more aggressive. Personally I've never liked them, rumor has it that Morrissey does; he likes the fan interaction so there's that. I also noticed that too how he got shoved lol

With covid the way it is, and I mean Morrissey's an older guy now, I don't know how I feel about random people in a crowd trying to kiss/hug him. It's a bit dangerous. I mean 60 isn't old old, but you've got to be careful.

It started long before Morrissey solo.. it was a big part of The Smiths concerts in the mid 80’s
