Big news
the first lie he ever told us
can't wait to watch this 79 year old play team fortress 3
When the show ended wayy too soon and you start watching from season 1 again
stop, too real
Too soon? The show had a decade+ run!
We didn't get 6 seasons and a movie like we were promised
Why are people pretending like jerma is like. Dead or something. Hes still streaming lmfao
@@suziebelle3738he literally crashed his car from off the top of hoover dam and exploded into smithereens what are you talking about
Jerma accomplished so much in his first year of life
Before 2011, Jerma was merely a theoretical construct.
Real.
Pre 2011 he was just a glimmer in the milkman’s eye
Jerma being 26 when this was recorded is something i cannot fathom compared to now
Seriously, he looks like a baby, maybe not even 21 years old in some of these vids.
jerma still looks so much younger than he is right now and he looked so much younger thennn
yeah, now he's lived longer than we can comprehend, longer than our universe has existed and seemingly previous universes before they collapsed too, origin unknown. and he won't tell us his secrets nor the secrets of the universe(s) either.
@@rudeboyspodcast He has amazing genes lmao. I'm 25 right now and look how he looked at 30+. I think really young people don't realize how quickly you can start aging in your mid 20's depending more or less on luck lmao
He didn't know Star_ yet it was that old but he was mentioned and came a life long friendship. They are just different enough from each other that they are like Ying and Yang cycling off each other.
Jerma’s accent was so bostonian back then
him answering the questions in full bostonian is so funny
I feel like it'd be really interesting to have a time capsule like this of myself, you know? It's got to be really fascinating for Jerma (and other personalities) to have 10+ years of their speech and mannerisms catalogued so extensively
It's sad Jerma was banished from the Bostonianion race... 😔
So exotic 😩
It’s wicked strawng, kid.
I absolutely love that after making two pretty normal TF2 gameplay videos his third upload ever was playing a weird obscure PC game while pretending to be a grandpa and doing diarrhea sound effects. Proof that he was always like this.
he never changed 😂
Insaniquarium being called obscure is making me old
For anyone that even cares remotely, Insaniquarium was actually a fairly well known and relatively good (especially as a flash game existing online) game on the internet back in the 2000s (For me it was 2005-2007). Found out about it from others at school. It also was relevant for a few years and it didn't die out fast. I didn't find out about Jerma until the Grab That Auto video, but I'm sure quite a lot of people in his viewer wheelhouse knew what insaniquarium was at the time.
Edit: Well I looked it up and seen it actually continued a pretty big life after the 2000s, getting upgrades and re-releases on some platforms. Has a collective 10/10 on Steam at the moment.
19:10 One Guy singlehandedly saves jerma's whole entire career over ten years ago, it's crazy how deep this lore goes
I wonder if he stays in touch.
i owned that guy my livelihood.
This is why he's so humble. What that guy said that day is what jerma says today to us about his career.
One Guy patient zero
Wait wait wait holy shit. That heavy getting backstabbed by him at the start was me wtf
in an alternate universe where you didnt get backstabbed jerma becomes an architect instead
Damn dude you contributed to history and you didn’t even know it
Watch your back is all I can say. He sees you as a threat
fake as shit
It's hilarious man his voice bits haven't changed much
the only voice that changed was his real one
Can’t wait for team fortress 3 to crumb out
I'll be zerkin every day till it does
god he's literally never changed i think hes a vampire
YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT
his ai isn't trained to develop over time
Oh no! You let him in?!?
It's funny how Jerma is obviously a little nervous and unsure about the whole video commentary thing in his first video, and then like 3 videos in he just went complete performance mode and decided to speak like an old man for an entire video. Not only that but it actually worked, people instantly connected with him and it was the first "bit," he was known for in any capacity.
Jerma is a cute dork and I will protect him if it's convenient for me. 🌈
Oh, that guy. I know him from playing in servers.
At one point he was that guy and he still is THAT guy.
@@kevinsteel7875
Everyday he is morphing a little more
3:58 stuff like this always gets me. "I want to thank most of the subscribers, I think there's about 12 of you now."
Which of those 12 people did jerma NOT want to thank? lol
The 12 disciples, with a judas

being able to hear jerma talk about how he wanted to be able to do this stuff as a profession and also about how he wanted to have fun with it and his community while knowing he was able to make that happen is really cool to me
makes me :)
The contrast when it switches between regular tf2 commentary and him doing the voice on the fish game is so funny
"If it wasnt for my real life friend, these videos would not exist" Bless his real life friend for making a amazing TH-camr (and twitch streamer)
This Jerma guy is pretty cool. I wonder when he'll release his next TF2 video
Jerma? The Smite tutorial guy?
I wonder when he'll release his next video 😢
He’s just waiting for TF3 to come out

"I'm getting kinda old." -25 year old Jerma in 2011
Oh god, it's been the retirement arc this whole time.
Jerma "old man" short streamer.
Fear of his own mortality is one of the biggest through lines in his ouvre and I’m not even joking.
@@DabednegoI'd honestly love to hear your interpretations of Jerma's character
NO WAY THIS IS SICK THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS
Its so crazy that jerma's personality never really changes that much over time. He was always just naturally funny
Eh Jerma had that awkward tryhard streamer personality at the start, which he ended up making fun of later on. The part where he says “u-g-l-y” is the kind of stuff he just cringes at now. He just needed time to find his feet.
I hope the mac and cheese watch along stream is EXACTLY like his tf2 commentaries
Damn, I forget I was 11 when I first started watching Jerma. This really takes me back

JEsus JErma coincidence, i think not. he's an immortal and he accidentally made religion and it got out of control. but he lost power over the years, and this is the best he can do now.

oh yeah, remember when Jerma was fckn JACKED!

This Jerma guy is going far! Machinima is such a great partner! Good luck and congrats on the 450 subs dude!
Please continue doing this. I really enjoyed seeing Jerma’s growth all in one year. It was really interesting. 2 specific moments I found very touching, and props to you for watching a years worth of videos and adding them, where he explains sniper the sniper tutorial and when he shouts out his sister. I thought both were very thoughtful
Jerma aged 214 years in 13 years and now he spends most of his time in Ludwig's stasis chamber.
I wonder if any of the kids he taught when he was a subtitute teacher watches his videos
Damn I hate being parasocial but this retirement hurts. Jerma was the one person that I would always know was a truly good person even only seeing him through the lens of a camera.
what’s that saying, “never meet your heroes”? you can’t base someone’s existence off of how they appear online, no matter who they are.

Dazza the minute you uploaded this I went I seriously need to watch it cuz I have just been watching ur content nonstop for the past couple of weeks
Appreciate your support :)
Holy crap what a wicked throwback, this is nostalgic and its not even THAT old 💀
Such humble beginnings. This was an interesting look into his early videos. I especially find it interesting how much of his humor was already present this early on, though some of the more 'Tuber-y moments are a bit hard to watch, lol. That was just the time, though.
Thanks for making this, Dazza
I remember when I first started watching him I was like wow he's 28 that's so old. Now I'm 26 😭😭😭
Jesus youre so young

Lmao it really does

Finally, the No Life Nerd Supercut
My God. I've been trying to remember the game from my childhood, Insaniquarium, for so long. This whole time there was a Jerma vid
I remember in 2010 I started playing TF2 and I absolutely sucked. And for a year I was just getting trounced every time I even attempted to play. I had just about given up but I decided to get on youtube and look up some guides to play my favorite class the Engineer. That's when I found Jerma's gameplay videos and I was locked in. He was goofy and funny and just a great speaker. He didn't do a lot of 'This is how you play' it was more of the 'Hey come sit down and let's play together.' energy. His fun attitude made me smile and it gave me the courage to keep trying. 13 years later I still play TF2 (off and on) and I still suck. Thanks Jerma for all the great memories and laughs. Especially when he died to Pinwheel.
this video is a big inspiration and motivation to me. love jerma and all you jermamites
He was on so many drugs it’s a miracle he’s still with us
I'm willing to bet the grandpa videos is him being absolutely high, how does someone just thinks "you know what, I'm gonna pretend to be an old man and play insaniquarium"
Its funny, i got into STAR_ back in 2011 when i was originally a fan of him. I became a tf2 gamer for years because of it, it was only until the “jerma is mad” series that i learned about jerma and got into him. Much love to them both
It's going to be so difficult seeing him actually retire... He's only gone into his soft retirement and the content has been scarce 😭I can't fathom the day he actually retires. I mean we're going to have a catalogue of a 10+ years worth of content to look back on, which is not bad at all. It's bittersweet watching one of your favorite content creators steadily going into retirement when they've given you so much joy and entertainment for years. I mean he's pushing 40, he's getting older. All things must come to an end eventually. Godspeed Jeremy, and thank you for everything you've done
it never crame out...
Thank you Smokin JoJo Davis for that sick intro
Imagine being one of the original 12 jerma subscribers

In all seriousness is anyone getting a tad nostalgic and sad now that every Jerma channel (including the 2nd official one) is posting best-of’s (he fell into the meat grinder 😔)
so.... he was always unhinged
57:50 JFK playing TF2:
Thank you, watching through this right now to gather evidence on his infamous “985” murders.
I remember watching Criken and Bedbannanas's videos way back when "with the asdfs" was a series and i got recommended his gta4 videos. I remembered that "Byeah" bit for years, even into when i watched Jerma's streams without knowing that was his. I honestly don't know if that was in his first year, but it was my first experience of jerma, and it was so long ago it might as well be
Real ones remember him from playing in servers
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! welcome to episode one of Jermacraft! the series where I play minecraft, this is going to be a single player let's play, and when I say "let's play" I use that term pretty loosely because I am an idiot in this game. You're gonna see lots of fails, your gonna see lots of triumphs, at least I'm hoping, so go grab yourself a nice hot cup of coffee, hot cup of coco. I got apple cider right here freshly brewed. Let me take a sip, ah that's some good cider!
He definitely gets better over time but even back then he was a great commentator.
machinima partner with a v-log....
I felt like he was already everywhere in the internet when his videos first came out, like he had millions of views on his videos but before that already like 300k and I thought for a while it was strange why he didn't have a millions sub already because it was at 700k at the time for a while when for a few years everyone would always watch his videos.
Jerma being a sub teacher for middle school is PERFECT. Thats why he handles chat so well 😂
I first subbed to jerma after he had released 2 videos after finding his first TF2 spy video (after going on TH-cam and typing in "TF2 how to play spy") and it has been absolutely insane seeing how Jerma has changed over the years.
Oh shit, I know this guy from playing in servers!
that montage in the beginning made me nostalgic even though i didnt even watch jerma back then
that time Willem Dafoe hacked Jerma and started playing Insaniquarium, good times
8:19 real life definition of a CHAD
2011 TF2 hits different
Thank you for making this! It's really interesting looking back on this period of TH-cam history, and a lot more convenient when it's compiled like this rather than having to sift through everything the *slow* way. I'd love to see more early Jerma edits.
This is an awesome idea for a video compilation
Seriously I'm so glad you made this. Thank you
Ah, the good old days. So proud of our boy
People dont know Jerma used to genuinely be buff.
This vid reminded me of the first time I tried to do a let's play on some other channel I had as a kid. The channel is long deleted and I now regret that I didn't try to keep going, but I was fucking terrified then lmao
Now I know that any attempt of me to start anything like this would be futile in the face of the TH-cam algorithm.

Incredible being able to remember watching all of these for the first time. Thanks for making this!
This is insane, thank you

Funniest bit Jerma ever did. He joined Machinima just to land this joke. A man of true dedication.
I'm so glad you're making a compilation like this, jerma's earlier videos are definitely some diamonds in the rough, you can just feel the age in how hard they are to binge in comparison to his golden eras
When his first TF2 payload video came up I had whiplash.... I feel so old but it's nice to see these videos again 🥹
3:25 damn Jerma hood pass
Please continue making these. Such a great view into the beginnings of Jerma. I certainty would love to see a compliation of his third and fourth year on youtube. Definitely some of his best on his original channel.
