- Sometimes you just need to get away no matter what the weather is like. I take off in my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon to return to the Ozarks to off road and camp in the rain and it was wonderful!!

Omg 😂 The biggest way to be prepared for a solo trip is to not be stupid! 😂😂😅😅 ROTF! BEST QUOTE EVER!
Also love my Skotti grill and cap. Every few uses I use a strong scour pad to get them clean since they’ll never look new again. Worth the money for the convenience.
It’s a sweet grill!!
Just food for thought… keep or take (Walmart) bags and put sand or rocks in them. We use them at the beach for our tents. Works great and we always have a bunch of them.
What's the saying? No such thing as bad weather, just bad preparation! Don't know if I 100% agree with that, but having the right gear really does make all the difference. Looks like you and the Jeep managed to survive the down pour. All a part of the experience for sure. If you camp enough, eventually iffy weather will find ya, just a matter of making the best of it like you did.
Yep. A dear friend of mine says “you can pick the dates but you can’t pick the weather.”
True words
Okay, So you’re right. On my phone I’m subscribed but on my living room TV I’m not. I’ve been watching your show for years and never new that. Thanks for all the great content, I always look forward to seeing your show every week.
Was just over there for Rendezvous at the Ozarks for the first time. Had such a blast! Great trails and crystal blue rivers! It had rained just enough to have some fun. Met some new friends along the way.
Cheers from TX
That grill looks perfect for solo camping trip
Another great video. Thanks!
That's it! Half the noodles and all the cheese.
Always!!!
No doubt about it.
Looks like a nice relaxing trip, always love a good rainy-day cruising around the Ozarks.
this lesson will totally help u find that balance. Tks for sharing. 👌🏾💪🏾
I enjoy your videos and listen to your advise. I just bought my first Jeep, hopefully I can follow your lead. Stay safe
Great video! Solo overland videos are my favorite.
Awesome Matt! Can't wait to see the new toys.
Loved it. I always get good tips. Im from Arkansas but live North now so I always enjoy seeing the terrain as well. Thank you for making these videos. Hope you reach you goal of 100K subscribers!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi Matt, I very much liked this video! Just to getaway and enjoy the scenery and what nature has to offer. Thank you for the safety tips. 🚙
Enjoying your videos. Haven’t over landed yet so learning a lot in preparation
That awning system is awesome.
Glad your feeling better
Love doing tent camping in the rain, maybe just before the rain!
That wet shoe squeak at the end though... looked like you were sorting things out too. 🙂
Always love watching your channel and seeing the new gear you test out. This looked like such a fun trip and I look forward to seeing the new surprise next week!
Thanks for watching!
great content and like the new I camper canopy.
I really enjoy your channel, I've learned alot since I discovered the channel and appreciate the adventures you share. Be safe
Awesome, thank you!
Another good video
I keep an extra set of 12 stakes in my truck when the ground is like that. Feels like I’m laying down rail road ties but it ain’t pulling out easy when it gets windy.
Sweet design. HEX PEGS. Started using them and love them! Yeah, little pricey but worth it.
Great video as always sir! I'm waiting impatiently to build my gladiator sport s mainly so i can go explore the ozark national forest (since i live roughly 5 hrs from there.) Mainly just waiting to get the accuair air ride system, gears, arb air lockers, atlas transfer case, and wheels and tires installed. Hopefully I'll see y'all out there next yr. Thank you for making great video content!
Sounds like a sweet build
Great video again. I would like it twice if I could. Ozarks are so reachable from Oklahoma.
good job! man!
Thanks!
I'm loving your channel. Just got my Gladiator. I hope to get over to AR from OKC soon.
Awesome!!! Thanks.
Good to see you out in your stomping grounds. Headed to Georgia traverse in the storms according to the forecast just like last year....which I didn't complete due to high winds and thunderstorms. Lets try again.😅
You got this!!
Hey Matt! Awesome vid. I was just down there 3 weeks ago from Ohio with a group of Overlanding friends from Memphis. If I'm not mistaken, we camped near there on the other side of the bridge and I actually fly fished the pool you were camped next too! It was super dry then, and the roads were extremely dusty. It's cool to see how it's changed with the rain. Coming down there to the Ozarks has been on my bucket-list ever since I found your channel. Did not disappoint!
That’s awesome. You catch anything?
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Just bluegill, but they were still fun and had beautiful markings. Thanks!
When you said “I know better than to hit that hole to the left”, I’m pretty sure that’s the same hole we saw a guy hydrolock his motor in last winter lol sucker is DEEP!
It does happen!
We support you from Iraq 🎉❤
Thank you so much!!
Matt, Another great video!! Love all the new gear. Have you done a review of your Starlink? I saw that its available nationwide now and was curious what the download speeds are. Thanks for the video
You made me want Mac n cheese
That awning setup looks great! Obviously something I don't need but also do need is that cool grill thing. Great seeing you at Rendezvous though.
Thanks! You too!
Like your video. Big support from vietnam 13:13
10 more on Friday, it will be Christmas...😅 nice setup. Looks like a $10.000 setup. I will make my Christmas wish list.
If you were gonna stay a few days the side awning would be great. Thats gonna be alot just for overnight. Love the tent though
5:15 i made the mistake to go by myself on that trail in my stock tacoma. I don’t know how I manage to make it with no broken parts (it was hard for me as a beginner haha) I marked that place so I would not go again until I upgrade my truck lol
Great video. What kind of head lamp that looks super bright?
Nice canopy, but I’m sure not a fan of white light when I’m camping. You said it yourself, it feels like your inside. I use only fire when I camp. Torches and actual campfire. I feel so much a part of nature that way.
Yes, I'd like the color changing LED's. At least a red and amber.
Great video, Matt! I was subscribed to your channel and after watching this I happened to click and it was showing that I was not subscribed. TH-cam being weird and unsubscribing wtf!
Thanks for checking!!
Please keep talking about equipment and 'how to's' while driving.............er..........on second thought, just keep doing what you like doing! Thanks for the video! 😊
Watching the outro to this one, I can't help but want a video solely dedicated to "B-role" of a TH-camr's experience of the camera setups for each view and that side of the journey!
Lots of running back and forth. 😂
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures 🤣
went to the rendezvous at the ozarks tried to look for ya, must missed you.
I didn’t get there until Saturday afternoon due to being sick and left this morning. Were you not there for the giveaways on Saturday?
i left out Saturday morning to a multi day overland trail @@OzarkOverlandAdventures
Great video Matt! As always, love from LR. Is there a weather app you pref to use while out on the road? Anything you notice stands out a little more than the rest app wise?
I just use the weather app for forecast and an app called My Radar for radar.
Man, I love what you do! Do you ever do any geocaching along the way? If not, why not? Thanks...
We have in the past.
I see both, an Ikamper and a 4x4 Colorado Tent. Which one do you prefer. I was leaning towards the Ikamper until I acutally got to see the 4x4 Colorado at the East Coast Overland Expo last week. What are your thoughts?
Honestly they are both great and each have their pros and cons. I love the fabric the iKamper is made of but the elevated foot area on the 4x4 Colorado tent is very appealing. You can't go wrong either way.
Do you ever think you will do the rubicon trail? Great content love all the updates and hello from your neighbor in TN!
Absolutely. Hopefully in the next couple years.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Yeah i am looking to do the same in the next few years. between you and shaun from TSTN. I watch all the content from you guys while i am still here in Kuwait.
Unfortunately a couple of months ago in Arizona a man was mauled and killed by a black bear. The man was building a house on property he just bought. He was outside by his truck drinking coffee and the bear came and attacked him dragging him I think 75ft. Bear was shot by some people who ran over.
Do you have a link for your firepit and the under awning lights? Love your setup!
Link to the Skotti is in the description along with the awning. The lights are built into the awning.
😂❤😊nice
What is your steering setup on Sully? Maybe a video update?
Great video. Are you open to sharing some of your favorite trails in Arkansas? I’m interested in visiting soon - short day trails to 2-day weekend trails. Also, open to maybe hearing of your favorite long distance overland trail. I have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JLU w/ 1.5 in lift and 35 in tires; winch & recovery gear. Will be solo. Thanks!
Look up Ozark Overland Adventure Trail on my channel. Route is in the descriptions.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures will do - thank you.
Love your videos, can you tell me where you got your seat covers?
Thanks!! They aren’t covers. They were a factory option in 21.
I was wandering how your setup would work in a rain. Impressed.
Would like to see it with the walls.
I'll be doing a full video on the awning and all the features soon.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures looking forward to seeing that.
Your gladiator looked a bit weighted down?
Someone needs to start making some 2700k or warmer lights for around camp. The bright white 6000k kinda kills the camping vibe. Like being under a bunch of grow lights..
Do you think the I camper mini would fit on top of a Toyota Prius or a Smart Car? Gas will be up to $10 a gal soon. I need options. Lol?
I’ve seen the minis on a Prius before. The biggest question is the roof rack of the car it’s going on.
Ok, so I know you've talked about them before - what are those airing down things... 😂 Appreciate the content.
Specifically which ones are they...i am looking to buy a set. 😂
Here you go. amzn.to/3FnwVIN
Love watching your channel. Also love the topo map on your hood. What area is the map for and where would you suggest getting something similar?
It’s from Stickyvinylz.com the topo is a favorite spot of mine in the Ozarks.
Thanks! We will check them out.
…might make a great video between the vinyl and the favorite spot.
Is that the iceco vl35 pro on this trip? If so I'm wandering your opinion on it. I have the 45 and thought of down sizing
yes it is. I'm loving it.
'I think its ready!'
- sausages are charcoal. 😂
The sausage was perfect on the inside. lol.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Awesome!
Love your channel!!!!! Question though, have you heard Bigfoot anywhere you have camped at?
I find that I can't hear make believe creatures. LOL. I have been awakened by racoons in the bed of my Gladiator. LOL
🌼
Not sure of your running a ram assist steering? If not you should reach put to PSC or Hillbilly ram 😊
I definitely will if I upgrade my axles.
What is the best off-grid cellular phone signal booster out there now?
Probably WeBoost
Great video Matt, your content keeps me watching.Your always pushing your Jeep where a lot of the other channels out there don’t they stick to FSR roads and it becomes boring to watch. Keep up the good work as I love watching you and Cara’s adventures. Cheers from Vancouver island.
Thanks!! FS roads are boring. LOL
Do you have a trail map or something along the line to go see these places?
Aqui en España,te acuestas tal y como has hecho,y al dia siguiente no tienes ni los soportes de parte trasera,y no se como lo hacen, que ni te enteras,la Policia dicen que te duermen con algun tipo de aerosol....no sé
I thought you liked the zoleo more? Why did you switch back to the inreach?
I do. But the Zoleo is my wife’s. lol. The inreach is mine.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Ahhh got yah!!! If you had to pick what do you prefer more?
The Zoleo!!!
I went to a dealership to see about trading in my van and was shocked at the price. I can’t see that in my future at all. 😢😢😢😢
for a Gladiator?
Where do i get a hat and decal!
Shopoverlandapparel.com
How many trails are in the Ozark?
I’ve never counted them. A lot.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Can you do most of the trails in a stock jeep gladiator?
I think I asked before but what state is that?
I think hes from Arkansas
It's Arkansas.
Where is the rest of the crew I haven’t seen them on anything lately
Life has been busy since the summer for everyone. We are ready for another trip together!!!
Is it just me, or do Sully's tires look a little thin?
Nope. They are in good shape.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Cool. In that early shot it looked to me like the tread was getting thin, especially in the middle. Probably just an optical illusion. 🙂
😂😂
What was funny?
Wear your seatbelt when you wheel. Could save your life one day
Nope. I don’t wear my seatbelt when wheeling because it locks me in place and I can’t move around in my seat for visibility purposes.
Love your vids, nothing on you but, iKamper is all about the details?? Sorry brother with the high cost of their tents as it is, they should be ashamed of themselves for that design. Like you said nobody gets in the tent from the back, you literally get soaked getting in and out, if it's windy you have to close them up so rain doesn't get in. Those bdv rain flys should be all around (like every other tent). Then their solution for this is to offer for purchase a giant awning that requires 4-5 poles, multiple guy lines and stakes that suck. What a ripoff imo.
Matt please don’t support 4x4 Colorado. They are so unprofessional and rude.
I’ve met them several times and been to their shop. Seemed like great guys to me. 🤷🏼♂️
I know you need to make content by adding new $H*T to the rig on a daily basis.🤡
When you are ready to put your Big Boy pants on - Go buy an All-Cab Canopy Camper & it will eliminate a Ton of all your little fiddly bits and pieces that make your car camping easier.
I don't like how big and bulky the Canopy Campers are. And also stupid heavy. No thanks. LOL
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures The Accc will be as wide & as tall as you current set up????
@@TerryManitoba nope. Taller. And a lot heavier.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventureshow much heaver?
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures ACCC is 8 " above the top of a Jeep cab - UR RTT is at least 6" above the top of cab. 2" big deal...
I noticed that you two are getting older, that’s very good your fat from old but Matt Towing who earns $1,500,000 /yr. Said having a Grandpa on his show doubled his subscribers. He is trying to look old. Tattoo’s piercing’s dyeing of hair is out. Younger generation looking for stability!!. If you continue on your present path as you have been consulted. 2 yrs all you have before looking for a 9-5 job and enslavement again. Your a great couple but you are blowing full financial highs. America is in a moral/lease relationship crisis’because we sent a bunch of lawyers to congress. I’m 76 yrs upper 10% income of nation. Take note. Please you and Carol are trying to stay young don’t it’s costing you $100,000. A year🇺🇸😍
Did you ever think that the way they dress and act are who they are ? Your comment was pretty rude. And her name is Cara, not Carol.🇺🇸😍🙄
Everyone is getting older. That’s life. I’m not taking personal and financial advice from someone I don’t know and who certainly doesn’t know me. I got news for you - this how I’m gonna do old. I can’t bring my grandpa on the channel because he’s been dead for 10 years. You have know clue what our financial situation is. Nothing is costing us 100k a year. 😂😂😂
I unsubscribed fattie
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s ok. 100 people just took your place. 😂😂
I got a question. Do I have to subscribe through every device I have? Because I'm subscribed through my phone but not through my 2 tv's
If you're watching on the same account then no.
@OzarkOverlandAdventures thank you. I felt kind of guilty for not helping out
