I have had 3 different Moto G Power models with the g7 power, 2020 g power and the 2021 g power. All of them did everything I needed them to do and they were very reliable. Motorola is an underrated brand. People sleep on these phones but they are very practical and have useful features.
My wife and I went to replace our old phones and were going to get two Motorola G 5g phones but they only had one in the store so I wound up getting the G Power 5g for the same price. At one time we had phones with wireless charging, which I used all the time but my wife never used it, so this works out well for us.
For the price, the Moto G Power 2024 offers incredible value. It's a great option for anyone looking for a reliable phone with good performance and long battery life. Dimensity 7020 is a nice addition.
i just got this phone from Walmart for $99 bucks "at&t " pre paid I couldn't be any happier with this phone 128 storage up to 1tb expanded storage, wireless charging, NFC reader and the actual screen size is 6.7 not 6.5 its great for watching movies and playing my games perfectly
How is it for gaming? Is it smooth? I’m mainly play cod mobile. And is it smooth just navigating different apps and switching and watching TH-cam scrolling social media or there like stutters and stuff?
I just got this after having a older moto g i hot spot to a z fold and iphone mini so i rarely touch the phone its self but i must say this was 89$ for me due to a upgrade and man was it a nice one budget phone on cricket comes threw for me big time and the last model was very durable dropped it alot and it cracked but kept working till the end i love the budget phone that delivers is it laggy yes is the camera perfeft no but much better then the older moto g i had for sure also added wirlescharging and nfc to pay which was one of my biggest complaints for a 2023 phone but this phone legit is pretty good for the price
Just ordered one to replace my 2020 Moto G Power 8. I'm that basic user you mention, & refuse to spend more than I have to for the features I need. The quality is fine, my 2020 has been good, though certainly slower now.
The camera has a Scan option under the More section of the app and ive never used magnifier but when I search settings on the phone it has a Magnification setting under Accessibility with various magnify options.
The G Stylus is probably the better buy right now. The Motorola Edge 2024 is coming on the 20th, to T-Mobile as well. I am excited for the new Edge, hopefully I can get one
@@SICERIKTECH I still think Motorola slightly overcharges for the edge but it's kind of hovering around looking like 1 + 12R type rival, throwing the notification switch
Good video. The Moto G Power 2024 ended up being my second choice. I always prioritize either the camera or the battery and this time I picked the camera and got a used Pixel 7a for $199. We'll see if I regret it after a few years of taking great pictures, but worrying about battery saver mode. One of the deciding factors for me was software and security updates. It's strange to me that the phones with good battery life that could probably last for more years have such short periods of guaranteed security updates.
This phone is pretty decent aside from low screen peak brightness and too little on software support. I don’t understand why Motorola keeps doing this with 1 OS and 3 years of security patches. They could easily have upped the support. And they probably could’ve made the display a pOled like with this year’s G Stylus 5g. But for the current $279 price on Motorola’s website, it’s not bad.
yea It was 1 OS update and only 2 years of security when I bought the 2021 Stylus 5G (Rip already abandoned on the software side now) which sucks because the phone still works great.
@@SICERIKTECH I agree man. Can it really be that hard for Motorola to support the phone a few extra years? If they’re doing 1 OS, why not extend it to at least 3-4? If they’re doing 3 years of security patches, why not offer 4-5? Anything beats doing the same thing and showing no improvement when Samsung and Google easily beat them.
@@jasonroberts8416 it’s a real shame too. Motorola has recently started making better devices and stopped going backwards on specs. But they’ve shown no progress on software support. Motorola makes great devices but they can’t compete with other top smartphones if they don’t offer the support to do that.
@DWtechfan Over the years Motorola has been stepping it up on their smartphones. They have a chance to take LGs spot in the industry, they just need to work on updates
I don't consider this a budget device so much as a mid-range device because there are other options even from Motorola that are far cheaper and if you think about it just a few years ago this would have been a flagship device given its specs
@SICERIKTECH it's always interesting to see how devices fair in the long run. I remember having the cricket dream 5G when it was released and there were tons of bad reviews regarding that device because it was glitchy and such but initially I had none of those problems fast forward a couple of months and it was trash

Best budget phone ever made I paid $200 for the unlocked version off Amazon

I was able to get the 128GB / 8GB ram version of this phone for $150 through my carrier! Comes in the mail soon.
That's a great deal

What are your thoughts on the Moto g stylus 2024 and then I know they're coming with the Motorola edge 2024

My honest opinion they should start out with the deal of 499 for the edge and keep it there for a little while and maybe take it back up to 550.00
Imho, Moto G Power 2023 is a better buy with 6/256gb for $200.00 new.
7020 is way better than 930 it's on par with snapdragon gen 7 chips
I'll take the 8GB of RAM with 128 on the 2024 model because you can increase storage via SD card you cant increase ram

Yes, Google is going to be way better at updates over Motorola. Plus, way better camera
How long do you keep your phone's
For me the phone is just great enough.
Got the MotoG Power 2024 for free with a paid month of TotalWireless paid a total of $70 bucks included taxes from phone.
You can turn on 120hz

Does this phone have the ready for connect feature?
No it doesn't, it does have the Ready for engines installed but the actual smart connect isn't
I might do a little tutorial on how to install
@@SICERIKTECH that would be really cool! Would that work on other Motorola's?
hmmm wondering if I should get this from Straight talk for $45 that unlocks after 60days. I still have a Metro Moto G Stylus 2023 that I like.
For $45 bucks? How? And Yes! 🤣
With the right phone company you can get this phone for free.
Got the edge 2024 free it's great
I like the phone that uses WiFi to make calls to my land line and not dependent on my signal from my cellphone carrier
Stop saying budget device I came here bc it cost 300 initially but u got it for free stawp Killin my vibe
I got it for $200 on T-Mobile, my carrier 😄. IDK why there's such a price difference between TMO and Motorola
Exc Review. Phone has good specs but moto drops the ball on software updates
Oh yeah, definitely! Thanks for watching
unrreal ,
This phone is junk
What makes it junk? I have one and I think it's just fine
junk it's clearly lagging
lol it’s a budget device not a $1k phone.
