Okay, you guys are beginning to find your stride again. This was a lot of fun. Fascinating chemistry between Jason and Ryan while wrestling with their amazing knowledge base - I'm thinking Ryan is a highly respectable equal to Jason and it shows.
I used to carry a CZ Scorpion with short barrel and brace in a back pack. Small red dot on it, ran perfect for years. I just picked up a Ruger LC Carbine in 10mm. Takes Glock mags. Put a Vortex SPARC Solar red dot on it. According to Ruger's web site, the length is 28.6" long when the stock is fully shortened, 22.5" when it is folded. The stock folds to the side. With the stock folded, it just fits into an LAPG 3-day backpack. Since it uses Glock mags, I can carry two mags in a standard AR magazine holder.

The best kept secret for a PCC is the PSA's AR9 pistol kits. You get AR controls and compatibility for most parts, takes glock mags, and is 1/6th the price of an MP5. There were some QC issues with their first uppers, but I've run 400+ rounds of 50/50 steel/ brass case through mine without issue
Sorry Jason, you’re normally my pick on these, but I’ve got to give it to Ryan. Well with the exception of his #1. I would take a .300BLK over a 9mm any day. But overall, yeah Ryan nailed it. My go bag I’ll either carry my 12.5” 5.56 SBR, my 10.5” .300BLK SBR, or my 12” 8.6BLK SBR, all of which have Sylvan gen 4’s on them. Those folding stock adapters are great. I have them on all my builds.
First off I thought this was gonna be about bug out bag guns. Whoops! now carrying in a bag I'd want somthing as small as possible. Now a truck gun those folding AR or full size are workable. But other backpack or bag stuff has be super small and light IMO. keep it up
For a bag gun you will carry Flux Raider or similar chassis system all day. For a bag gun that sits in your vehicle any foldable AR platform. Also to note my daily carry bag gun is an SMC Bravo.
I had the rattler and Areo Lahar 30k and it was fantastic but I had 3500 into it. Fantastic gun but I figured if I had to use it there goes $3500 bucks. So I sold it and build a PSA for about $700 total. And am more comfortable with that going into an evidence locker for years.
I respect both sets of choices. I would love to see you kit out a rugar PC charger takedown, 9 or 10mm, as an everyday bag/bugout, and see what you think. I personally think it has its limits but has a certain place in a list.
Ive come to the realization that i need to SBR my Rattler LT and get an 8T for it. Damn Jasons Rattler is sexy. It already is suppressed with a Nomad 30.

I think it’s the mindset using your gun to get to your rifle. How long does it take to snap in the two locks for an Ar? It’s about 22 seconds that includes pulling out your stock,and putting gun into fire, makes sense especially if you have A handgun and took cover with your bag.

I have a rattler cane break, that’d be my go to back gun or put the 9in upper on it for full powder burn with supers, also I think PSA’s new 300blk krink would be cool. I’ve just always loved how the krink looked
I have both the 5.5" and 6.75" Rattler as well as the P320 Flux Legion and as far as the ultimate bag gun, it really is no contest when stating the best "bag" gun is the P320 Flux Legion. Why? Because I can stick it in a Vertx Transit 17L Sling with a Premier body armor panel and have 60 rounds ready to deploy within seconds. This is one of the smallest most concealable bag guns with the most capacity given the size along with rapid deployment with the Rapid Access Pull tab.

I love the MCK gen 2 with my G19 in it. Has a light, holds an extra mag, folds down really small. Didn't cost thousands of dollars.
I took one step further! G20SF 10mm with Johnny glocks 3lb trigger housed in the MCK 2.0 assisted by 510c green dot.

As a resident of a restricted state I’ll have to settle for my ruger pc9 with the Magpul backpacker stock.
