I was waiting for your reaction most and it's almost matched with my reaction. The Pall Mall game has its significance because in that part we found out how competitive Anthony and Kate are and it's looked like they finally found their perfect match!
I loved the Pall Mall story because its when Kate gets to interact with the Bridgertons and we see how well she gets along with all of them. Also, Anthony has been horrible to her previously so seeing Kate beat him at the game that was his pride among his siblings ( and he did not turn into a total ass when losing) really made me happy and made Anthony likable. I always imagined a sort of foresty, lake situation and the country house being more surounded by nature. If i remember right, the book describes a lot of flowers, vegetation and hills if i am not mistaken. They purposely chose the most unfrriendy environment in order to make it hard and competitive. From the shots we get to see in the trailer it seems they are playing on some sort of flat court specially designed for this game. It just makes it seem more artificial and bland, instead of a challenging game, i dunno...Also yes, you can read the Bridgerton sibling books in 3-4 hours max each, its really not that long. But for me they were action filled so i liked most of them.
The showrunner has said the focus this season is not just on the love between Anthony and Kate but also between parent and child, siblings, and friends.
Oh dear, the Pall Mall games are super important and in the book add much humour because it is where Anthony and Kate spar constantly off each other and the attraction begins to seriously spark. The Pall Mall game features in other books and Kate & Anthony have their truely competitive personalities toward each other as part of their passion toward each other
New subscriber here! I can't wait for this season to get her...Kate & Anthony were my favorite book. I'm happy they didn't scrap the Pall Mall scene, but even more glad to see that it looks like we still get the library scene. The library is when I feel K & A truly fall in love. One thing I'm getting from this trailer is it seems like they might make the "love triangle" more of a focus in the show where in the book that really wasn't an issue. Could be wrong but we'll see I guess!
That guy with Eloise isn`t Sir Philip. Sir Phillip was introduced at the end of S1. The man Marina decided to leave with is Sir Phillip which intoduces their future storyline. The man with Eloise is Theo Sharpe, I believe is his name. I think he is a person who works in printing, I am not quite sure. Also I am really excited for this season. I watched this trailer so many times.
Oh, yes he was Sir Philip I thought maybe they were talking about the guy in Eloise’s book "to sir Philip with love" I haven’t read that book so I don’t know much
@@ReactingFox I reccomend reading it. Some people loved it, some didn't but I personally really enjoyed it. I think Sir Phillip will also appear in s2 as there was a photo of him with Colin. But overall I highly recommend you read all of the books in series if you haven't. I enjoyed reading all of them.
I loved the pall mall game so I’m glad they included it. Benedict was not in the game in the book. I am glad the included him and Eloise this time. I also hope they have the Antony and Penelope scene. Those were the two scenes I wanted them to keep from the book.
Your reaction and opinions are every interesting. I didn't necessarily agree with most of what you said but it was entertaining to hear your take. This is a trailer so it is not about telling you the entire story arc. It's about teasing your interest enough to get you to watch and I think it served the purpose. The actual season ended up showcasing many of the things you wanted in the trailer one being showing all the different kinds of love.
They changed a lot of things in season 2 but I loved it so much because of Kate & Anthony. I loved it more than season 1. I hope you share reviews/reactions soon
Sorry, but they butchered Anthony. His backstory and why he doesn't believe in love or relationships, rather than fulfilling for a mere duty would have added more depth to his character. Things I liked: 1. Edwina. in the book she is a mere puppet. She has her voice in here 2. The Featherington, Bridgeton, and LW subplots.. voila... 3. The BGMs (die for it) This I hated: (Only book readers can relate) 1. is there a scene with Anthony falling into the water? Yes. Is it that scene? NO 2. Is there a library scene? YES Is it that library scene? NO 3. Is there a scene where a Bridgeton stands up for Penelope? YES is it that scene? NO 3. Is there a bee sting scene? YES Is it that scene? NO 4. Is there a Thunderstorm Scene? YES. Is it that Thunderstorm scene? NO 5. Is there a Scene where Kate's life is endangered? YES. Is it that scene? NO
I agree with almost everything you said 😭 i always skip the pall mall game when i read the book because it bores me so much but I’m sure in the show it’ll be great lol
great reaction to the trailer and comparing it to the book, i agree with a lot of what u said! i for one also, am not a fan of the pall mall game, but if they feature it in the show, then i guess it will be alright, i also agree with the part where u said where 'why do shows only depict love between romantic partners' and that they should show love in other ways, as there is love all around us, i have also read the first three brothers books, the book 'romancing mr.bridgerton' was a good read but not my favorite, but i agree with u that Colin is the most sweetest and a gentleman compared to his brothers (in the books)
You need to read the first book rather than relying on just the show and skipping to the second book. You mention that Daphne doesn't have a baby and is just pregnant in the book than mention again how you didn't bother to read the first book later. At the end of the first book she does have a baby which is actually a daughter. This is just one example of the faulty information presented. If you are going to do a comparison you need to actually have the information for that comparison. You really are entertaining to watch but please, please actually read the books. They are all worth the read and will help with understanding the individuals/family better.
I know I should’ve But my curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to get to know Ben and Colin’s stories. But now I’m not gonna let Eloise shadow my decisions and read the duke and I first
I didn’t mind it in the show, they kept it brief and I kinda enjoyed it I’m not a fan of "game" scenes in books since it kinda turns into a sports article and most writers (myself included) are not cut out to write a sports scene in an engaging manner.

The annual pall mall game is also the main story in Kat and Anthony's epilogue.

Ah yes, the were on hills
Because both Kate and Anthony’s had to climb down to get their balls

Simone Ashley is the perfect Kate! This is my favourite book by far in the bridgerton series, I’m beyond excited ☺️
About the hand touching, it reminded me of Mr. Sunshine!

Newton is Lady Whistledown
Shhh! That’s a secret
Don’t say it out loud
Can’t wait for s2 😍

Anthony and Penelope had multiple scenes throughout the books and each one was really sweet and made me respect Anthony

Kate and Edwina are half sisters actually XD. Same dad, different moms

And they have one or two Indian songs on there as well.

Finally someone who understands me!!
Frozen talked about sibling love slightly. I would like to see other types of love as well in media
Ah yes, and maleficent on mother daughter love
But it wasn’t enough. They had major trust issues and it was kinda annoying
There is a spin off about the queen coming soon
